Really, who'd have thought.............

After a few shandies you know I am.........you tart...![]()

You know me Shaks. Nobody upsets me and I respect everyones opinions. Ive documented many times what Leeds is to me. This current car crash isnt it. I spend every Saturday tuned in to one media or another but always expect a rubbish performance now and expect to go behind and ultimately lose. Im seldom dissappointed in that manner. I will not waste my money travelling to watch tripe cos thats what it is. But supporting Leeds takes many different formats. My format is no more right or wrong than yours Shaks. I will happily travel as I did through the years when there is progress again or a bunch of players who are actually interested in playing for us. This lot are neither interested or capableEire, now I respect your opinions and I hope you don't take my comments badly, but you are starting to sound a bit like the supporters from the other side of the Pennines who we slag for the same reason.![]()

BATES saw to thatWell said.... Kids have peer pressure at school too, they don't want the mickey taken out of them when a mate asks who do they support. The next generation of Leeds fans isn't going to be there, once our generation are gone.

Absolutely, spoke to a lad at Wycombe who barely remembers our Champions league exploits.Imagine being a Leeds fan under 20
Witnessed nothing but comedy on and off the field
Or 3800 MillwallsSome kitchen sinks have bought 13% of Man City for £265M.
To put that into perspective, you can buy 80 Leeds Utds for every 1 Man City![]()

Hello Shaks. Yeah, remember those too. Scott Sellars, Tommy Wright, John Sheridan, Neil Aspin etc, But at least the club wasn't a joke, just struggling financially to rebuild. You would at least see the players try and get the odd rewarding win.Lee...depending what age you are there were bad days well before the last ten+ years. After 1978 and into the 80s there wasn't much to shout about, well not until Wilko turned up. The home crowd was bad in those days, but the away days were well supported. So some things never change. All we can do is look to the next game and take it from there.![]()

Totally agree regarding the players at least trying. Well at least you got goals for your first match....Hello Shaks. Yeah, remember those too. This was my first game at Elland Road: 31 October 1984 - Leeds United 0 - Watford 4.

That was my point about things being poor in the past. We have had our dips and great times too over the seasons. But the one constant was the away support. I've often wondered what it would have been like if we'd have the internet and forums like this back then. IMO everything is over analysed nowadays. Results then. Attendance weren't great. You must log in or register to see images

Thats1 way of looking at it,but not mine,if I did half the work this year that I did last year do I deserve a pay rise ? I think not and TBH Byram has been well over paid this season as have a few.Morning Don & all....
Totally agree, a feeling of why do I bother and starting to not care, accepting this is as good as it is going to be, that's my mood on all things LUFC at the moment.
Cellino still has supporters I know but even they cannot defend his treatment of Sam. Interest from PL teams and instead of securing him he offers a pay cut?
Yes he is the owner, if he wants to be foolish enough to try the offer fine, but to then come out in public and say what he did is childish, foolish and shows that he hasn't really a clue how to run a football club
Not getting a pay rise and taking a 50% cut are not exactly the same thing though are they...Thats1 way of looking at it,but not mine,if I did half the work this year that I did last year do I deserve a pay rise ? I think not and TBH Byram has been well over paid this season as have a few.
Bates, GFH and Cellino, each as bad as one anotherBATES saw to that
The problem with that is Byrams value is in that out of position place its where he played his best last season and where he attracted PL interest,he's not a very good right back and never has been. Not getting a pay rise and taking a 50% cut are not exactly the same thing though are they...
Sam would say he is doing his best but being played out of position. If you were not as productive but felt it was not your fault I very much doubt you would be willing to take a 50% cut.
Not arguing with that, I never rated him in either position, wish we had cashed in on him. I hope he doesn't sign a new contract, I just feel it has been handled terribly. The problem with that is Byrams value is in that out of position place its where he played his best last season and where he attracted PL interest,he's not a very good right back and never has been.
