You know me Shaks. Nobody upsets me and I respect everyones opinions. Ive documented many times what Leeds is to me. This current car crash isnt it. I spend every Saturday tuned in to one media or another but always expect a rubbish performance now and expect to go behind and ultimately lose. Im seldom dissappointed in that manner. I will not waste my money travelling to watch tripe cos thats what it is. But supporting Leeds takes many different formats. My format is no more right or wrong than yours Shaks. I will happily travel as I did through the years when there is progress again or a bunch of players who are actually interested in playing for us. This lot are neither interested or capable
Good afternoon I am just as upset as everyone but there is always hope a win on Sat is just the ticket
Afternoon all. If you can keep your head when all about are losing theirs, If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, or being lied about, don't deal in lies, If you can remember better times, glories past, If you can move from bad owner to bad owner, If you can see your best players sold year after year, If you can still go and sing your support, If you can still spend your money to not be entertained, If you can still hold your head high around the premiership clubs, while still so low, If you can still look down on Millwall, and hate the scum, If you can dream- and not make dreams your master, If you can meet with triumph and disaster and treat those two imposters just the same Yours is Leeds united and everything that's in it, And- which is more- you'll be a Leeds fan my son.
Some kitchen sinks have bought 13% of Man City for £265M. To put that into perspective, you can buy 80 Leeds Utds for every 1 Man City
Hello Shaks. Yeah, remember those too. Scott Sellars, Tommy Wright, John Sheridan, Neil Aspin etc, But at least the club wasn't a joke, just struggling financially to rebuild. You would at least see the players try and get the odd rewarding win. This was my first game at Elland Road: 31 October 1984 - Leeds United 0 - Watford 4.
Totally agree regarding the players at least trying. Well at least you got goals for your first match....
That was my point about things being poor in the past. We have had our dips and great times too over the seasons. But the one constant was the away support. I've often wondered what it would have been like if we'd have the internet and forums like this back then. IMO everything is over analysed nowadays.
I have never felt so disheartened by leeds as I am right now. That said, four of us are going Saturday. Two leeds fans, a Liverpool fan and an arsenal fan. The two non leeds fans are going because they enjoy the day out so much. I envy them in that they will enjoy the day out but will not have their mood/day ruined by either performance or result.
Thats1 way of looking at it,but not mine,if I did half the work this year that I did last year do I deserve a pay rise ? I think not and TBH Byram has been well over paid this season as have a few.
Not getting a pay rise and taking a 50% cut are not exactly the same thing though are they... Sam would say he is doing his best but being played out of position. If you were not as productive but felt it was not your fault I very much doubt you would be willing to take a 50% cut.
The problem with that is Byrams value is in that out of position place its where he played his best last season and where he attracted PL interest,he's not a very good right back and never has been.
Not arguing with that, I never rated him in either position, wish we had cashed in on him. I hope he doesn't sign a new contract, I just feel it has been handled terribly. Something seems to happen with our once better players, they all seem to go downhill rather than improve
