lol, true, and there's always one act that gets through on the sheer comedy of their attempted performances

Like the person on X Factor who can't sing but everyone loves to watch make an utter twat of themselves on TV.

Yeah, UEFA used the word “could” be banned from competitions not “are” so I think they would back down. The clubs might be banned if this goes ahead but if a player moved from say PSG to Man City then I’d expect them to be able to play in the European competitions.

Dunno about internationally and how much the players would care especially if they had to take a huge pay cut to be at a club not involved to play for their country. Would be an individual thing

European players may not care at all. South Americans put country before club all the time. To them it is the pinnacle and the greatest honour - and not just words.

World governing body Fifa has previously said it would not recognise such a competition and any players involved in it could be denied the chance to play at a World Cup.

Uefa reiterated this warning on Sunday when it said players involved would be banned from all other competitions at domestic, European or world level and could be prevented from representing their national teams.

There's a lot of vagueness in there.....

Yet they all move away from their homelands and clubs in their late teens/early 20s for money. It just depends on the individual I would say and what the drop off is in salary.

If you're a Brazilian football player who grew up playing barefoot in the favelas, being called up for 1 single cap for the Seleção will mean more to your career than any trophy at club level.

Bit difficult to ban players because their club made a bad decision. what are they supposed to do walk out on their contract and how would this leave them with regards to signing for another club.

At least PSG can now win the CL without even playing the semis or final.

Oilchester City will be gutted. Finally got over the quarter-final knockout curse to have it not matter anyway <laugh>

It's a ****ing minefield. Will their contracts even still be valid if a club is expelled for a serious breach of rules? It all depends on the wording and whether it is tied to FIFA. I haven't a clue to be honest, but I do know FIFA has to sanction transfers (or a member confederation) and that it isn't valid without that sanction. That's where all the issues come from on deadline day.

Shame tbh

Games been dying for a while, didn't expect to be this young, sexy, literally leaking with virility when it happened. Just witnessed an axe fall from the heavens and collide into the skull of football.

RIP

Anyway, anyone ever watched Ice Hockey? ****ing incredible

The fans of the big six have a massive say in this, still.

If you still support your team after this, you may as well invite a bloke to shag your mrs as you clearly have no standards
