What dya think of all this Spurls? Reckon it will even happen? Happy Spurs are a part of it? The consensus on your board seems to be toss Levy down a flight of stairs
Gonna be a tough one this, get dragged kicking and screaming or just walk away before it gets going. Genuinely feel sorry for the kids in our academy who our club’s entire history has been built upon.
There are so many losers from all of this and so few winners - and none of the winners are fans or football people.
The only winners are the rats who don’t care about football. Let’s not hear another word from anybody about how great Levy is or how Roman loves Chelsea or how Mansour is so kind for buying an old FA Cup for a museum. The lot of them are vermin, like the Glazers. The problem we have is the PL are too weak and pathetic to do anything about it.
Have any of the 6 clubs fans on here heard any of their fellow fans who are pleased with this decision?
So this is supposed to replace the champions league while clubs still compete domestically? Look forward to hearing Pep and Klopp moan about the extra fixtures
I think they've got their wish for less fixtures - a lot less. I think they have gambled and misjudged the mood. Uefa and FIFA are spineless and ineffective. This throws into doubt those organisation's very existence though and would only be the first step to taking control away from them and towards the big clubs. They might be surprised how quickly people can grow a backbone when they are fighting for survival.
Less fixtures? This would be more than the CL no? Still wouldn't surprise me if they got something out of UEFA today, though they seem pretty far ahead with the idea.
They will get to play 18 regular league games and then 7 knock out stages games. Not everyone will get to play each other and only the top clubs will get close to the maximum of 25 games, but at the end of it all they will have a big showpiece final. They will keep the billions in TV money and divide it between themselves to the benefit of the owners. They will keep their local names but they are really just franchises that are far detached from the fans. Ticket prices will rise and only the top successful teams will attract much interest in the long run. They'll probably try and sell it as the best teams in the world and some sort of world championship even though it is a closed shop. Anyway, enough about the NFL. Anyone know where they came up with the idea for the super league format and what their long term aims are?
It will be less if that is the only competition they get to play in when they are kicked out of all the others. As mentioned in post above, it wouldn't even surprise me if that was their business model to only play that many games. This way they get to blame the authorities for kicking them out though rather than choosing to leave.
With me being a Cardiff fan it makes little odds if six club's fk off.......I'll happily except the ones mentioned going because im fed up of hearing about them and thy moaning fans me me me attitudes. Bye big six
I seriously hope that the Premier League and the Spanish and Italian equivalents kick all of these teams out of their leagues, but they wont. They will **** themselves and these corrupt, treacherous **** **** teams will offer them a bung to keep quiet. Thats how it will go down.
Yes it's about staying in the premier league and removing the chance for other clubs to get European money. The big 6 simply cannot lose
