Either way, contracts of this magnitude are never sealed whilst ignoring a major, integral stakeholder.

We’re talking at cross purpose I think. I don’t think the PL will be rushing to pursue them under rule L9 now it’s hit the bin. They’re defo would have done had it continued, but that’s now moot.

If there’s any sanction to be had it should really come from UEFA imo as it was their competition that these clubs wanted to usurp. Whether they have the stones for that, we’ll have to wait and see, but I don’t see the calls for some sort of punishment to disappear quickly.

Ok seriously guise enough messing about

what would you all consider a satisfactory punishment? Should it be just financial to hit the owners or points deduction or worse to hit the clubs and fans?

maybe both?

what would appease everyone? 10 point deduction next season sounds about right to me..I can’t see relegation happening.

The best of it was the EFL/FA tried to force them to carry on even if they were insolvent. Dover’s lawyers had to point out that knowingly doing so is a criminal offence.

The same applies when these crooks buy clubs. There’s nothing legally that can be done to stop them owning them, the football authorities can apply sanctions, but if the only aim is to strip any wealth out of the club, then the sanctions are meaningless.
