I see the Germans have had no part of it, neither have PSG, 5 English clubs, 3 from Spain and 3 from Italy. Points deductions all round sounds about right. Time for the leagues to unite & to stand up to this obvious attempt at trying to form a cartel that decides the future of the game.
If they go then ban all players at those clubs from International football. Ban the clubs from domestic competitions and other existing European competitions. Let them play their little league on their own. As long as everyone stays strong on it then they will be isolated. I can't see what else can be done to be honest if they want go ahead with it.
Don't know mate, will be down to the guy who owns the site. I can create another league for here, the same as I redo the leagues at the end of each season, but I wouldn't do it without asking his permission, IF that is what people wanted.
I would have thought points deductions will just reinforce their desire to leave? As mentioned above I reckon just sanction the clubs but especially the players so nobody wishes to stay at those clubs. Remove the right to play international football would be a start. As in banned for life if they play in the breakaway league. They can't hold their own world Cup, they don't have enough players.
Kick the ****s out and don’t let them crawl back when their echo chamber gets boring. It should be a one way street.
Sky is saying it definitely includes Liverpool, Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea, but also states elsewhere it involves the six biggest clubs in England. Thank **** that rules us out of this idiocy!
We're not, but if we had been one of the six clubs, would you ever watch them again? I know I wouldn't.
I don’t care tbh, they can **** off for me, and yeah banning their players from international footie is a great shout and has already been put forward by UEFA. Not that this is anything more than a power grab attempt, they should call their bluff.
German clubs won't have it cos they're fan owned most likely. Doubt the proper supporters of the big clubs here are for it.
It will appeal to the plastics and the far eastern market but no proper fan could possibly want this. It ruins everything any club involved is about.
It will be interesting to see where players' contracts stand with this. With a threat of a life ban from any other competition, how many would walk away from the clubs they play for and could the clubs stop them walking away?
I don't see any international ban sticking tbh. If it happened then the majority of best players in the world will play there, and FIFA aren't going to devalue their own tournament. Empty threat imo.
Genuine question... Would any fans watch the breakaway league if their club wasn't in it? I certainly wouldn't have any interest in it at all. That's not anger and resentment. I stopped watching PL games for 16 years when Leeds were further down the ladder. It didn't really interest me as it didn't affect my club.
