Cracker ... very interesting stats, which just handily illustrate two things I think most are aware of .... first the fact that Gower has had an impact (delighted for him, happy for us). second the fact that everybody else has had minimal impact. We can't expect a 33 year old Prem newbie to go carrying our water - it's just unreasonable on him and fraught with disaster should he become injured, drop in form, etc. We should expect players like Sinclair, Dyer, Routledge, Allen etc to be making things happen. Allen had a short run of games were he pulled some strings. Sinclair has been Mr. AWOL. Dyer ... has been Dyer - fancy foot work, entertaining, minimal end product. Routledge teases us, is more direct than Sinclair or Dyer, can cross the ball, but really more of a littler here and a little there instead of a steady creative threat. From offensive corner kicks our central defenders offer minimal threat. On offensive free-kicks around the box, we couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, while shooting for goal, and again from dead-balls out wde we really don't send over much of a cross - kinda like our crossing in general.
Dai, like Ivor, makes some fair comments also. Despite his post-game media-speak, BR must see what he's dealing with. I hope he can pull some players out of the hat in this transfer window, otherwise he really is going to have his coaching talents and tactical mind put to the test.
