Worked himself into the ground and covered for his fullback numerous times in the first half.Second half he was sublime.First-class showboating and a first class finish for his goal.He became a real deal premiership player today. So glad for him.

Ywah I commemented on him in first half

He was everywhere on the pitch

Covering for figgy then up at the other end causing a big nusicance for them, and almost scored bar a good save, ran like a machine today

Totally agree, only outshone by Huddlestone and that is a massive complement!

Gutted I missed the game today for work, but he showed it against Utd. on boxing day too, albeit seemingly much more sporadically, his pass to Chester in the last minute across the box which took 3 players out the game and nobody saw warranted a goal and a point itself. Chuffed for him!

As soon as he scored you saw his confidence boost, he did more flicks, made more runs. He was still excellent before but i think that goal will give him that bit more confidence, showed how good he can be. Should be a vital player from now on as he has the talent.

I missed the match too. I'm in Sharm El Shieke and was walking around in the City shirt,,had lots of Egyptians shouting Hull City (not Tigers) , Elmohaddy and Gedo. Caught the half time score and had a sock knocking moment when someone told me the result

Boyd could easily play a no.10 role! He's got a great engine and all the flicks! If he played there we'd get a shed load of free kicks around the box!

It's remarkable what he can do sometimes, he's a real crowd pleaser.

I have to say I don't always expect it, when he totters around like a girl in wavey lines, but he's got some flair and is more capable than most in the squad of pulling something out of nothing.

He's growing into the Premier League more and more.

Did anyone else hear that text read out on Dumberside yesterday which included the line "George (full Scottish international) Boyd for England?"

To be fair, he isn't Scottish is he?

If you didn't know he'd played for Scotland you'd think he was eligible for England.

Made worse by the fact that our local radio sports team managed to fail to see the error and read the **** out.
