But wasn't he out of contract in the summer so there would be no transfer fee?
Have you not read my post in the last page?!
There can't be a transfer fee whatever, as it is a loan. Even as a loan fee we'd never pay anything like £1million.

End of the loan he is a free agent, but it seems we have agreed a pre contract. We can't pay Posh for this as we aren't buying him - it will be a contract direct with him as a free agent negotiated in advance of his posh one expiring.

Posh will have got a loan fee at best, and considering he was going whatever in summer they haven't got the bargaining position to hold out for anything big! This doesn't add up somehow and I'd love to know how Posh are claiming it to be a 7 figure "deal"

I don't want to be too negative, but I think it's a pretty pointless signing, he's only a worse version of Koren.

Back on topic. Burnsy has said that its a season long loan with a permanant deal in place for the summer. Even IF it is a seven figure fee in the end it will be cheap from the PL money on offer. It is correct also that with the International Break in March Boyd would be covered for the Play-Offs. Not that i am expecting that situation.

Everything you have just said has been posted at least twice, above.

Looks like you are determined to keep that award charlie

He's a good player, but is no improvement on what we already have i.e Koren.

I know it's a bit controversial, but it's my honest opinion. If he does, however, turn out to be better then Koren than I am willing to put my hand up to that, but from what I've already seen of him, he's not.

They're very similar players, Boyd is abit younger and probably on lesser wages. So IMO better value. Also, Koren has been struggling for fitness so offers a direct replacement.
