In effect you're saying you're lazy... "Someone else do everything and I might think about joining the bandwagon" <laugh>

Nothing ANYBODY will ever come up with will 100% make a difference. By going to the game, you 100% percent ARE NOT making a difference. In fact you're purposefully and intentionally making an excuse to not even attempt to make a difference (in a desperate attempt to not be seen as a "scab"). That is the quintessence of naysaying pessimism on the topic.

You're not a scab if you go to the game, you're just content enough with the situation to do **** all about it. Honestly, everybody has their limit, your time will come. Will we be in such a decent position to make such an expression at the moment you decide you've had enough? Doubtful.

Exactly the point I was making before.

Alleged moral high ground, insults and distorting the point the other party makes etc. simply because I don't agree with your view. Pathetic.

Pointless attempting to discuss a point where sensible discussion isn't the format being used.

Errrr what? Where have I insulted you?

Still, I'm happy you've run away crying, this was going in circles.

I don't really understand why we're starting with Ashley, who is the one individual who by all accounts will just do what he wants. I mean, did he think of the fans when appointing Kinnear? Did his mind wander to Rangers' fans when he bought the rights to the badge for a quid? Doing nothing isn't the answer, I agree, but get answers - real, committed ones - out of Charnley. He's got all the answers, Ashley has all the money. I don't understand why the press aren't pushing the fans forum more, why they and the fans aren't going for the MD first. Ashley OWNS it, he doesn't run it. I wish we'd all wake up and realise the facts, but then that's like expecting a justifiably sensible decision from the general election - the problem with more or less everything is people and their ignorance.

Can't resist one last point or two.

Insults...maybe the scab inference.

I take it on the basis you questioned my claim that you were attempting to insult me but didn't question the alleged moral high ground and distorting the points of the other party that you accept those two points. <laugh>

And the "...run away crying" comment. Really what schoolyard are you playing in? I would have expected better JPF.

The fans forum is an absolute joke, if it was an actual forum given to the process of brutally truthful answers, a significant proportion of the fanbase wouldn't feel so disillusioned. The fact is, the board are continuously, consciously and concretely silent on the ambitions of the club, and the lapses in that silence are nothing more than farts in the wind, a useless, abysmal, waste of words and everybody involved's time on this earth.

<doh> I never called you a scab <doh>. I merely pointed out your "logical" coccooning of yourself from the protest appears to be defensive, rather than proactively and passionately following your own mind, as per example, heed. A simple "I don't think it will work", would have sufficed to convey your entire point (and subsequent adherence), yet you have ellaborated on your nothingness to an infinite nth degree. I'm embarrassed you couldn't decipher that, especially since I actually emphasised you would not be a scab, so if you insist on maintaining the point your panties are in a twist I may as well help you out - you scabby scabfaced scab... Happy?

And your interpretation of my words is your own, as mine of your words is my own, I seek no moral high ground or distortion. I say it as I see it. If you want to moan about the way I have condensed your War and Peace adaptation to "I can't be arsed", moan away with my blessing.

And my dad is ****ing way bigger than yours, so ultimately, I win.

Group hugs are good.
By the end of this, some may need it.

Whichever stance you take, fans need to have respect for each other's views otherwise Ashley wins hands down.
That respect seems to breaking down, both on the internet and out their on the street.

I'll be having an argument in the pub tomorrow with mates, no doubt, but they know my belief, is that you have to stand up for yourself, and not run away and hide.

Rightly or wrongly, I see Ashley as already having the upper hand with the boycott, split the fans down the middle, make sure that SJP is quiet, and any protest is elsewhere away from him.

If there is going to be a protest, make it worthwhile, in his face, not, faceless and hidden away from the media.
Look as though we have an end game, which, as it stands simply doesn't exist, and don't embarrass ourselves.

This.

Let's just all get along regardless of stance.

Well said.

What will I do with the 51 durian fruit I've bought to throw on the pitch if I don't go?

Also that free food and booze in the box won't consume itself :)

For what its worth I just think some fans want to do something.Probably out of pure frustration!
Personally I'm not going but then again I've missed the last two because I'm ****ing sick of it all...Off to Leicester and qpr away but that's mainly for the drink and the good laugh with lads, match has become a bore tbh.
Everyone has there views boycott or not....Its a personal choice i just hope some day we rid ourselves of the fat **** whatever it takes.....Keep the faith.

Like G Lee I disagree.

No-one has convinced me by any of the arguments advanced that a one off boycott will have any effect on whether Cashley decides to sell the Club or not.

Cashley, without my ever having met him, gives me the strong impression that to sell the Club someone has to offer him a bucketful of money to buy him out. The size of that bucket will be dictated by Cashley and not the Buyer and not the fans.

Cashley has repeatedly shown in the past that whatever the fans think he will do what he wants and will not be put off by abuse, banners etc. The amount that he is owed, said to be £129M, will be of no relevance as to what Cashley will want for the Club. Even if you add a figure of about £120M making a figure of about £250M which seems to be a figure kicked around as a selling figure that amount IMHO will be no where near what Cashley will want for the Club.

The Sky money is ridiculously high for each Club in the PL now. It will be jumping to even more obscene heights next year. Currently Cashley can make between £20M (wink, wink) to £50M each year for a relatively minimal risk. Next year or the year after he will be able to make between £50M to £80M for the same minimal risk. For someone who gives a very strong impression of loving making money regardless of the effect on others it is going to take a huge amount for him to sell. Due to Sky that figure is going significantly up. So long as Cashley keeps us in the PL he is going to be rolling in it. I don't believe that there are many if any consortiums out there with the amount of money it will take to prise Cashley's fingers from around this Club. Cashley is not going to go because fans complain, in whatever form, because he can make so much money now out of the Club thanks primarily to Sky and not the fans attending matches.

I do have other reasons why I will not boycott but those who do advocate a boycott please tell me what real effect it's going to have given the above points all of which I believe are likely to be accepted as being roughly as accurate and correct.

Clearly the tv revenue is a big carrot for the fat one. So why don't we just boycott the televised games. Spend the money in our local boozers watching it. Eventually the TV companies will surely decide to cancel our broadcasts and not schedule any more.

It's a start surely?
