Superb fight to be fair, AJ somehow managed to drag the fight into the fifth round despite being bambi on ice for most of it. He has always been a bit chinny and someone with big power like Dubois was going to be dangerous for him.
Lads I know very little about boxing and have watched nothing of the fight. But has there ever been a more overhyped boxer than Joshua?
He’s got nout left to prove, all his faculties in place and hundreds on millions in the bank he’d be mad to continue imo
Just reminding you your pre fight prediction!!! thing is, it was looking like Joshua had him but that was some knockout punch
Made sky an absolute fortune and lots of people got behind him for a while made heavy weight boxing interesting.
Certain elements of his game are genuinely world class, but a bit like Amir Khan, there are just glaring deficits also. The BBC and media loves him and perhaps overhyped him because he fits a certain profile.
Absolutely ****ing loads. He's a 2 time World Champion who's had some great fights. No-one hypes him as an all time great or anything like that.
There are still great fights for AJ. Zhang, Joyce, Fury, Parker etc But I agree he is never touching Usyk now and will never be #1.
I reckon that was more that he didn't know where he was and his brain was scrambled to be fair. I don't think it was arrogance, I think it was bravado and instinct to try and make it seem like he wasn't badly hurt (though it was obvious to everyone watching).
Yeah, it was this. When you get rattled off a big shot you will obviously lose your ability to 100% intelligently defend and end up running off instinct. He did well to hang on until the 5th.
