I was thinking about this too. From where I stand, maybe age has treated Pacman better than Mayweather. Neither fighter can be the man they once were, but I think from what I've seen of Mayweather, I'd be on the Pacman. One dollar on Manny Pacquiao please.
For the love of God let's not have another fkng hyped up piece of **** supposed match.

I hate that **** Mayweather anyway.

Excuse my ignorance but who was that wanting to fight AJ, Fury and Wilder in the next 12 months?

That would be Olexsandr Usyk. Undisputed cruiserweight champion of the world. One of the best boxers on the planet who is planning on fighting at heavyweight. He was supposed to fight Carlos Takam back in May on his debut at heavyweight but picked up an injury whilst preparing. The fight is supposedly set to take place in September now.

Interesting. Fast hands. I wonder what will happen when he comes up against the big boys. I watched his fight against Bellew. He kod him eventually but that wasn't enough to convince me he will cope with big punching heavyweights with longer reaches. Also, he has failed to ko a few despite hitting them as often as he liked which makes me wonder if it's his fast combinations which he needs to rely on. Tyson Fury has a 7" reach advantage that he might find a bit of a problem. Fury hasn't got the best of chins but has an exceptional recovery rate so Usyk's remarkable punching speed may not be enough to trouble Fury. I could see him ko'ing AJ as he will definitely hit him with a few combinations and will be too mobile for AJ to catch him properly. Not sure about Wilder. He could get to Wilder but no idea what would happen if Wilder caught him

Usyk is a blast of fresh air when it comes to the heavyweight scene Ron. I think you're right to question his chances against the likes of Fury and AJ, especially as he'll have to give away heaps of weight. By the time he fully beefs up though, there won't be too much in weight between him and Wilder. He has more talent that Wilder, but can he avoid being damaged by that stunning power of the champ?

Wilder wont lay a glove on Usyk. Light years ahead in skill levels. I think Fury due his awkwardness and skill will be his biggest problem. Joshua wont be the same again and plus he wasnt all that anyway.

I hope Usyk blows the division apart.

There's not chance of Usyk not being hit by Wilder if the fight goes 12 rounds. This is a huge step up for a Cruiserweight who's not a serious puncher. He won 10 of his first 11 by ko, but when the opponents grew stiffer, he could only stop Bellew and Huck. Hunter, Briedis and Gassiev (fighting at Cruiser) all went the distance and all hit him.

I'm a huge Usyk fan and would love to see him take a belt, but it's far too early for me to think him the salvation of the heavyweight scene.

So to apply your logic, he wont survive against Wilder then.

Wow, I've just been watching a clip of Derek Chisora being interviewed after his beating of Artur Szpilka. He's mentioned something about Dave Allen being in the bar at 2:30 am on the night before his bout with David Price. If so, he's a dick who doesn't deserve the chances he's been given.
