The Motor City Cobra Tommy Hearns said his battle against the Argentine Hammer Juan Roldan was his toughest bout. The latter was as uncultured as a boxer can get, but he certainly knew how to get in someone's face.

These Argentinians are tough buggers. Reminds me of when Amanda was competing at an International show jumping event and some Argentinian pestered her too much. My son came along and she pointed him out just as he was leaving with his parents in their horse box. My son screeched out in his car and pulled right across their horsebox, yanked their door open and pulled the bloke out and decked him. He bounced back up and got decked again. 4 times he got off the floor before he ran off and jumped back in his horsebox. Nasty, tough little bastard. Lucky he didn't get killed

Dillian Whyte's chances of a quick crack at Deontay Wilder has just taken another dive. Even though he's the WBC Silver Champion and No1 ranked for that body, he's just been pushed further down the impending fight ladder. The WBC has ordered Whyte to take on Luis Ortiz, the winner to become the second mandatory challenger behind Dominic Breazeale. And the mumble on the forums is that Wilder will face Breazeale next. If that's so, then a Whyte - Wilder bout pretty much goes out the window for the time being. After Breazeale, Wilder will probably get a voluntary defence. So the best laid plans of Eddie Hearn seem to have hit a speed bump. Maybe Eddie really doesn't run world boxing. 
A little bit of news on the Tyson Fury front. Promoter Frank Warren is set to announce an opponent for the June 9 clash, in the next few days. But an Albanian bloke named Sefer Sefari has jumped the gun and claimed that he'll be in the ring with Fury. Whether it's true or not is anyone's guess. Maybe we should get on quick and lob a few bucks on Sefari at cricket score odds.
I've had a bit of a hunt around and the best I can find on Sefer Sefari paints a pretty average picture. His record at first glance looks good, 24-1-0. But he's mostly fought at cruiserweight, although it seems his last half dozen fight or so have been in the heavies. His opponents to date have won 229 and last 287, so hardly top flight challengers. As mentioned, I can't find too much on him, but the IBO, as of March, have Sefari ranked at 60 in the Light Heavyweights. He's 39 years of age.
Sefari fought at heavyweight against Charr in 2016 and lost a points decision. Charr is reputed to be 6.4 in height. In the ring, Sefari looked maybe an inch shorter. If he fight's Fury, Sefari will probably have to spot Fury serious reach, height and weight. He could come in somewhere between two to three stone lighter. You'd have to think he'd have next to no chance of winning, but what price the betting on him just being the opponent?

He will only fight nobodies, pumped up cruisers and/or big names who have faded and are no longer as dangerous. (Carl Framptons fight being a terrific example on Saturday- and I say that as a big fan of Carl- he belongs in superfights in the featherweight division)

Spot on. Warren takes no chances with his fighters whatsoever, he milks them for all he can make out of them and then cuts them loose. Joshua/Fury will not happen as long as Fury is with Warren, he won't do business with Matchroom.
It's beginning to look as though Joshua - Wilder won't happen either. Apparently Eddie has offered Wilder 5 times more than he has ever earned in a fight, with Joshua earning hardly twice he has ever earned in a fight. Wilder wants more. Eddie reasons that why should Joshua get less than twice what he has earned in easier fights and admits Wilder is a dangerous fight. Eddie also points out that Joshua has "all" the belts so if Wilder wants them he can come and get them. Sounds reasonable to me. Beginning to wonder if Wilder wants the fight. Maybe he's hoping someone will get lucky and take Joshua's belts, and he can take the belts off them. A bit irritating and predictable sometimes, all this pre fight talk
Wow, a massive grenade from the Deontay Wilder camp has just been lobbed into the Anthony Joshua compound. Wilder emailed that US $50 million has offered to Joshua as his share of the spoils for a title clash. Wilder's co-manager Shelley Finkel confirmed the offer and said the money will be there. He also stated that he and co-manager Al Haymon and he had never not delivered on what's been offered.
Looks like there will be a mega sit down on Friday. Interesting times ahead.

A draw. The only way that will happen is if
(I) they hit each at the same time and both don't make the count
(ii) they are so scared of getting hit that they play pitter patter for 12 rounds and neither deserve the win
At the moment I would favour the 15/8 Wilder. If the fight goes to America those odds will shorten

Miller often comes in around the mid 90s. Against Wach in his last fight, he weighed 283 but when it was all over, said he felt weak during the bout. Is this 304 over the top though? He fights ugly. He throws a lot and uses his massive weight as a weapon, but his fights tend to become a bit of a boring grind. Nobody can say it's not effective though.

Well the David Haye v Tony Bellew rematch is almost upon us. The fight takes place at the O2 tomorrow night. The betting has Haye at somewhere around the 1-2 mark and Bellew at about 15-8. I don't think they like each other. Haye punched Bellew at the face off before their first fight, this time Bellew didn't like Haye's head in so close, and reacted.
