Vlad Klitschko has today pulled the pin on a great career. So it looks as though Joshua's next opponent will probably be IBF mandatory Kubrat Pulev. Eddie Hearn has stated that the bout will most likely be in Cardiff on October 28 but Vegas on November 11 is still an option.

Doesn't surprise me. Expected that; just as I predicted we wouldn't see Tyson Fury fight again.
 
Bit of a blow for Eddies bank balance too as it means Joshua will now face Pulev now instead of the Klitschko rematch and he is one heavyweight who won't sell many PPVs! There thinning out a bit these top heavys.... Can't see Joshua losing much sleep over what's left.
 
I know they've said it won't happen, but with Klitschko and Fury off the scene now, surely Tony Bellew v Joshua would sell a lot more PPVs than any other fight out there. David Haye even comes into contention now, even though Joshua would likely win both easy, they definitely would gain more public interest than any of the other potential clashes.

Not like this Pulev fella is gonna put up much of a fight either though <laugh>

Yep Ron, Wilder seems to be the man, but for all his talk, he just doesn't seem all that interested in a Joshua bout. Can't really blame him.

Stepping to what appears to be a rung below, things look a lot more juicy. The Parker - Fury fight is one to be enjoyed me thinks. Maybe it won't reach the Joshua - Klitschko heights, and maybe it won't be as enthralling as the White - Chisora scrap, but it still has a lot going for it. Parker, the champion, moving forward with the heavier hands, against the more fleet footed man with quick but soft hands. And make no mistake, the winner winner will grow from this bout.

And there's Jarrell "Big Baby" Miller. Twenty one stone of in your face menace. He's no Butterbean either. The further the fight goes, the better his chances. Until I saw him last weekend, I though he'd be shot after mid fight, but man was I wrong. How a bloke of his size could be so "fresh" in the last few rounds of a bout, beats the hell out of me. I'd love to see him fight Luis Ortiz, Joe Parker or Dillian Whyte.
 
So Anthony Joshua is about to be ordered by the IBF to fight Kubrat Pulev now that Vlad was wandered off into the sunset. Sounds all so simple. Well it was until the WBC today ordered Joshua to fight it's mandatory Luis Ortiz, the Real King Kong for the Super Title. Eddie Hearn has said that Joshua will face Pulev. This has opened up a potential law suit by the Ortiz camp against the WBC should it not enforce the mandated bout or strip Joshua if he doesn't comply to the WBC order. It's getting quite messy.

There might be a way out though. The Ortiz camp have been locked in conversation with WBA champ Deontay Wilder about a title shot. Problem. Wilder has been ordered by the WBA to fight Bermane Stiverne next up. Seems that there are ongoing discussions about how to get Stiverne to take a back pew someplace so the big boys can clash. If they can get him to take a "bung" and step aside, then I'm sure Luis Ortiz will most likely take on Wilder in preference to Joshua. The WBC will then be off the hook. Ahhh the politics of sport. Don't ya' just love it?

Not to nit pick Cyc but Ortiz WBA, Wilder WBC. This is where it gets very messy and why it is so difficult for one fighter to unify the division

You can tell I'm not much of a boxing fan outside the heavyweight division. I didn't realise that Mayweather retired in 2015 and is coming out of retirement for this farce. That puts a different complexion on it as he probably won't have the speed he once had. We only have to look at David Haye. How sluggish was he when he came out of retirement? This makes it of even less interest than it already was

And the farce goes on. Justin Bieber has bought into the bout. He's a long time Mayweather fan who in the past walked the champ into the ring for the Pacquaio bout. He reckons Money can't knockout the Irishman. As the Bieb as spoken we may as well put all this bullshit behind us.
 
You know what ****s me? That this Mayweather - McGregor crap is stealing all the thunder from the real stuff on offer. This bout on the 26th will turn over hundreds of millions of dollar which in the process will cram the pockets of these two showmen who are preying on the gullible. And the fight is for nothing. It's just a money making exercise. Please don't get me wrong, I'd be in it up to my armpits if I had the chance, but as stated about, this rubbish is drawing all of the air of of the genuine fight scene.

There's a hell of a bout taking place this weekend that isn't getting anywhere the amount of attention it deserves. For the first time in the history of boxing, a massive amount of titles go on the line in a single fight. The American Terence Bud Spence, a man though of in many circles as the best fighter on the planet, will offer up his WBO, WBC and Ring (Lineal Champion) Belts against Julius The Blue Machine's IBF, IBO & WBO Super Lightweight Titles. Only two men, Bernard Hopkins and Jermain Taylor have held four belts. The winner here will hold all six. Big applause to the fighters and the sanctioning bodies for stepping up. There should be a lot more of it.

Terence Spence is long odds on to win the bout, with the Namibian excitement machine Indongo at about 6-1. Bud should win, but the man also known as War is not to be easily discounted. The Russian hot shot Eduard Troyanovsky looked for an easy touch for his third defence of his belts, selected the almost unknown Indongo, a man who'd never fought outside Namibia, and paid the ultimate price. War traveled to the Russian's back yard and smashed him. He then went to Scotland and beat Burns. Spence should win, but I hope like **** it's Indongo. Th clip below shows his world debut.

I hope Indongo wins too Cyc. I watched that fight above. Don't know anything about his opponent but Indongo certainly has a long reach.

In case Shergs is looking in I won't mention the (cough) asco

Great fight in store this weekend I can't wait. Crawford for me should have to much class for Indongo and will be great to see a true unified champion

Not sure about class but he can certainly mix it and take a punch. I think Indongo will need to keep out of his way and hope to nail him with a humdinger from distance. If Crawford can take the power of Indongo's punches, Indongo will be in severe trouble.
