Drug testing can take place anytime anywhere Ron. They can call to your door at 4 am if they want and you are obliged to give one. I was unfortunate enough to have to go through the process when I was playing at a high level for my County before. They pulled me in after training, 20 degree heat it was too, I was completely dehydrated after an hour and a half session...had to sit there with them for 3 hours drinking water etc, tried going twice in between with my "friend" staring at me trying to piss into the tube...3rd time was a charm though thankfully. I passed BTW <laugh>

IBF No 1 and Joshua mandatory, Joe Parker just about to climb into the ring against 40 year old Solomon Haumono in NZ. Another spoon fed victory I suppose, he'd want to get the old guy out of there fast if he wants to keep his cred.

Well, well, Anthony Joshua will be laughing to himself and thinking. "That's it, he's No 1?" The pensioner Solomon Haumono chased Parker around the ring for three and a half rounds before being put on his back and counted out. Parker never looked like losing, but did not look good. He took quite a few to the melon and was quite easily pushed around, something he can't allow to happen against Joshua. On tonight's performance, I'd have more chance of cultivating pineapples in my arse than Parker has against Anthony Joshua.

Tonight, Nevada time, the MGM Grand Garden Arena plays host to what looks to one hell of a fight. The Nebraska born and reigning WBO Junior Welterweight champion lines up against the Ukrainian bred and current WBC Junior Welterweight champ, Viktor Postol. After snatching the WBO Lightweight belt away from Ricky Burns in 2014, Crawford carved up the hard hitting Yuri Gamboa is sensational circumstances. The bout was nominated for fight of the year for 2014. He then saw off Raymundo Beltran before moving up the his present weight. He was slotted straight into the fight for the vacant WBO Junior Welterweight title against Thomas Dulorme. He won by tko then did the same to Jean and Lundy. As his career progressed, so to did his poise and power. Tonight he'll have to give Postol 3 inches in height and three and a half in reach. But the pundits are expecting Crawford to be too much for Postol. The betting sees the man at 4-17 while Postol is 9-2.

Viktor Postol is not to be taken lightly though. He went to the States with 25 unbeaten fights under his belt and a reputation as a possible decent prospect. This third bout in America came when he took on the hard punching Argentinian Lucas Matthysse for the vacant WBC Super Lightweight title. (Junior Welterweight) Postol went in as the outsider but pulled off a sensational win. He took Matthysse apart. He used his reach and speed around the ring to pick off his opponent, winning all but a couple of the rounds before stopping the man from Argentina. Postol is a serious spoiler. When he gets in close, he sticks like glue. He's one hell of a clincher. He frustrated the hell out of Mattthsse. He's extremely agile around the ring. Both men bring a 28-0-0 record to the fight. Although Postol is the market whipping boy, I think he'll make one hell of a fight. Both belts are on the line.

As both men are with Arum, as is Manny Pacquino, the general thought is that the winner gets the Pacman fight on November 5.

Looking forward to this one Cyc. I think Crawford wins, he's much the classier fighter but i don't think it'll be straight forward for him, Postol is quite decent himself. I was impressed by his demolition of Matthysse, although, Matthysse has always relied on his powere to get him through and usually struggles against boxers. I honestly don't think Pacqioua will want any part of the Crawford fight. He got offered it for his 'retirement' fight but opted for the easier option in Timothy Bradley

Just about to start the WBO World Featherweight Title. (Vacant.) Looking forward to seeing Oscar Valdez Jr, supposed to be something out of the box. Rueda has done all his work in Argentina. But seems to pop.

Now for Crawford - Postol. Crawford is huge in the US, and he looks to be Arums next ,major project. Maybe Arum expects Crawford to be too good for Postol and wants the former to be carry multiple belts as a way of promoting huge cash fights in the future. But I suppose if Postol wins, he'll hope to build another East European star. I really like Postol, and hope he can get the job done, but I'm not too sure that he's up to the job. Anyway you look at it though, Bob wins. :)

A complete boxing lesson and one for the oficionados. But the small amount of leather on body hardly made for the war that was expected. Crawford can't be blamed for the way he fights, he's brilliant and he's getting results, but leave me out thanks. 12 rounds of next to no action. Someone like Anthony Joshua may not have the class of the extremely skilled Crawford, but I'd much rather see the big Brit in the ring. The fight might only last a few rounds, but at least they'd be filled with that hold your breath excitement.

Both Thailand's WBO Bantamweight Champion Pangluang Sor Singya and Phillipino mandatory challenger Marlon Tapales initially failed their weighs in yesterday. They spent an hour or so trying to strip an extra pound, then stood naked to just make the weight. Today the man known as the Pinoy Destroyer, two time Bantamweight Champion, Pangluang, a man who had never lost to a Phillipino fighter in 20 bouts, lost his belt when counted out in the eleventh.

Tapales looked to have won the first couple of rounds, due to some seriously quick hands. He landed combinations then circled away to take the early points. In the third, Pungluang started to find his range and began pressuring Tapales. The challenger replied and the round was pretty even.

Round five nearly brought an end to the fight, when Pungluang smashed a right hook to Tapales' body, sending him to the canvas. He managed to stagger to his feet, only to be set upon again by Pungluang. The champ sunk a thundering right into Tapales' stomach, dropping for the second time. He barely beat the count and just managed to see out the round.

Oddly enough, Pungluang opened the sixth as though out of gas. He paid for it. Despite being dumped twice in the previous round, Tapales quickly took charge. He unloaded a massive right hand in close which drove Pungluang to the carpet. He was quickly back on his feet, but spent the rest of the round on the back foot.

The seventh was pretty even as both upped the pace.

The fight crawled through the eighth, ninth and tenth. Tapeles probably won the rounds as the champ didn't do all that much. He looked exhausted.

Then came round eleven, and the finish. Tapales exploded out of the gates and pounded a couple of left hooks into Pungluang's body, before smashing through a third. The champion fell back onto the ropes before hitting the canvas. He couldn't beat the count.

The fighter known as the Maranding Nightmare, Marlon Tanan Tapales, now stands atop the WBO Bantamweight Rankings. He's the Champion of the World.

Right. Head over heart here and I'd love to be proven wrong but, just, as I originally thought Leo Santa Cruz will beat Frampton on Saturday night and I say that as a huge fan of the unbeaten Northern Irish man. Santa Cruz has the natural size and reach advantage, which isn't really a new thing for Frampton to contend with but combined with his relentless come forward style where he seems to throw loads and just wears you down. No doubt Frampton is superior in his boxing skill, and can definitely hurt Cruz with his counter punching particularly if he targets the body. Cruz isn't hard to hit so I may well be wrong and it won't be one sided as some in the States seem to think but to soften blow if my man does get beat I've backed Cruz to win by KO at 10/3 with Paddy. Think this is a bit of value, but either way this is one bet I'll be happy to lose! Really looking forward to this, think it could be a corker.

Hopefully this will be a great fight. Santa Cruz is one hell of a busy fighter. In one of his previous bouts, he threw 1300 punches. He likes to march forward off a pretty good jab and when he gets inside, even with his long arms, he explodes in close. Two fights ago, he fought two weight world champion Abner Mares in a 12 round, exciting affair. Mares, like Frampton, had to give away both height and reach. When Mares went on the front foot, he he had a chance, but all too often, it was Santa Cruz who dictated play, and when he did, it was pretty one sided. Make no mistake though, Mares is a wonderful fighter, but he wasn't proactive enough. And Mares has quick hands, but not a fast as those of Santa Cruz. There is no way Frampton can match Santa Cruz for hand speed. If it goes the distance, Frampton should lose on points. He badly needs to get into Santa Cruz's face all night long, and hopefully finish him late.

Frampton to stop Santa Cruz- what price we got on that?

Although the reach and size is a disadvantage, I get the impression Frampton will be stronger and healthier at this weight- and more dangerous.

The Quigg fight was absolute turd but styles make fights and if this Santa Cruz wants to come surging forward he's gonna get caught with some clean shots as Frampton can be pretty slick.

Carl slowed down towards the end in the Quigg fight and I have a gut feeling he was bordering on weight drained and could be the reason he jumped up to this weight once he'd won his big domestic battle in Manchester.

Really good fight on paper and I think if Carl can whether a storm, he'll come on strong and stop this bloke.

Beefy- really interesting thoughts from you to let head rule heart over a fellow Northern Irishman- I applaud that. It's funny, you are probably his biggest fan and I'm kinda nonplussed with him as a person (mainly because Mcguigan starts talking and getting involved) and though I marginally would have wanted Quigg to win the last one, I'm letting my head rule because ever since I saw this bloke I thought he'd be a champion and I do think this fight could pan out perfectly for his style.

So we both looking at the fight logically and yet we still end up with different opinions! That's why I love boxing!

Hope it's the cracker I think it will be. Frampton R9-12 KO/TKO

Depending on who you believe, the Haiti born, WBC Light Heavyweight champion of the world, Adonis Stevenson has done one hell of a job avoiding anyone with a quality past. I have not really delved too deeply into the bullshit between he and Sergey Kovalev, but it seems from what I've read, the non fight thing lies mostly at the feet of the man who labels himself as Superman. Since beating Fontana on points in May of 2014, Stevenson has steadily worked his way through a series of ever weaker opponents. The credibility the man once commanded is now almost dwindled away to nothing. And as Superman's star has fallen, Kovelev, the man who's chased him for ages, has given up on the bout and moved onto bigger and better things. After beating Bernard Hopkins and Jean Pascal twice, Krusher will probably line up against a man many still consider the best pound for pound fighter in the game, Andre Ward.

And what of Stevenson's next bout? Tonight he jumps into the ring against Thomas Williams Jr. a man only rated mid table by the WBC and not ranked at all by any of the other federations. The thing is though, Williams might just have a chance against the aging and not as good as he used to be, Adonis. Williams like to unload. He wants to smash people. In his last two fights, he's been involved in wild, power punching slug fests that have only lasted two rounds each. He won them both, even after being dropped in the first round in one of them. In that same bout, his opponent hit the canvas as well in that round. These two scraps have been described in the media as real barn burners. The problem for Williams though, is that he's developed the nasty habit of being punched in the head. Stevenson should win again, but Williams come in with a puncher's chance. Is there any wonder why so many people in the boxing world want to see Superman landed on his arse?

I really don't like Frampton, think the blokes a prick. But he's very talented and I do think he'll be a better fighter up in weight. If he can keep his concentration for the full 12 I think he's got a great chance of taking this on points. If he isn't fully focused throughout then I wouldn't rule out a Santa Cruz stoppage win. I'd love to see Frampton do it, another British fighter with another world title but on the other hand we'd have to listen to that annoying little prick McGuigan rattle on and on!!

I want Frampton to win tonight so looking at some value in the betting I'm going for Frampton to be knocked down and win at 12/1. It's probably a quick way to the poor house betting by what you want rather than what you think but **** it come on Carl bring that title home!
