Over the moon with the result as Fury seems a good bloke. Klitschko run had to come to end sooner rather than later at his age and it was tonight. Fury did what he had to do and made it a messy fight zig zagging to keep out of the range of the Wlad jab with some head movement as well.
There chatting rematches? Be a very bad move for Klitschko to take one, Fury's still improving and in his home patch he'd seriously hurt Wlad. Fury has his card marked now, unbeaten 27 year old world champion, maturing in his skin and his craft. A man who had courage in his convictions to go out to the lions den and do a job on the Champ. A rematch? Mismatch more like.
Fair play to Fury for winning, and I agree with Beefy that Klitchko would be stupid to take a rematch, as it would probably go the same way. He's best off hanging up his gloves at the age of 39 now.
There are some big fights for Fury out there now, I know some may laugh but I think David Haye would be a big fight the fans would want to see, even if he has been out the ring a while, I still think it is the biggest fight out there for Fury next, in terms of interest and purse.
Anthony Joshua is obviously going to be a huge fight for Fury somewhere down the line, but I think they'll let Joshua beat up a few more bums before he goes up to the top table. When he goes up to the top table though, il be expecting him to win world titles

How would you be? Tyson Fury is now the WBA, IBF, WBO & IBO World Heavyweight Champion. The Fury team hatched a plan some time ago on how to lift the belts from Vlad Klitschko, and it paid off in spades. I think as much as The English camp were upset with the bout being delayed, it pretty much helped them drag those few extra pounds off his massive frame, allowing him that extra movement and fitness that stood him in good stead toward the end of the bout. That 247 pounds was a real blessing. Fury had faster hands and feet and the extra reach which gave him a big advantage over Vlad. His greatest asset though was his heart. Right throughout his preparation, he promised that when he stepped into the ring, he wouldn't do a David Haye and take it on the toe. He was there to fight, and that's exactly what he did. Congrats to Tyson Fury and his team, they all did a wonderful job. 
Well done to James DeGale for retaining his title away from home against Lucian Bute. As I said before was a risky first defence for him but he's come away with the unanimous decision.
Still can't believe Tyson Fury is heavyweight champion! I never in a million years thought he'd be able to be so disciplined and controlled. He's shown absolutely nothing in his previous 24 fights that suggest he'd have been good enough to stifle Wladmir Klitschko and take the titles. He just completely befuddled the (ex) champ, who looked like he wasn't sure what he should do. It made for a poor fight but Fury won't give two ****s about that. Wlad has said he'll take up the rematch clause that was in the contract and I think it'll be a completely different fight next time around if it happens. I think Fury will have to come up with a different game plan as I don't think the same thing will work again now that Klitschko has been in there with him. There's no doubt Klitschko is the much more talented fighter so it makes for an interesting rematch.
But for now well done Tyson Fury, enjoy being on top of the world lets hope you carry the titles with dignity

Yep Smoke, a really horrible fight. But you have to do what you have to do to win the fight. The landed punch numbers were awful, but as you said, Fury won't give a **** about how the fight went. He talked the talk and walked the walk. I liked the humble way he handled himself after the bout. "If i can be half the champion that Vlad has been, I'll be happy."
I watched the DeGale fight. He has a lot of talent, but he'd be a heap better fighter if he more of Fury's work ethic in the ring.

Klitschko has zero chance in a rematch, unless HE comes in with a hugely different gameplan against the younger, fitter, faster and most of all, hungrier fighter.
Thankfully, for the good of boxing, the monotonous old jab, clinch and repeat tactics were rendered useless against someone who couldn't be bullied.

I would be pretty certain you are right but honestly right now we need to give Fury some credit, respect, and celebrate the audacity of stripping a flurry of belts from a 10 year Champion in the backyard on the scorecards.
Fury was a puzzle that Klitschko could not work out once the jab was taken out of the equation.
No one gave him a chance of backing up his words and now he has done it, love or hate him we need to eat that humble pie and give him some credit. Joshua's time will come so let's hold fire until then.

AJ is huge potential and seems a really driven, level headed and nice lad. And he's blasted everything out of the park, with great style. But we've been here before with heavyweights in Britain. Audley Harrison, even David Price was well hyped too till he landed like a bag of spuds on his arse when he fought someone who could fight. I'd therefore reserve judgement on AJ beating a man who looked so confident and at ease in the ring against a long reigning Champion in his own backyard! Fury oozed an arrogance last night, few myself included, thought he'd be able to show against the top man. Many were looking forward to seeing Wlad knock him out last night too, don't make the mistake of underestimating him again!

On a wider note how excellent is it to see British boxing flying the flag with what, 11 or 12 world champions.
A rematch will make a nice tidy sum of money for both fighters which will appeal to Fury at say Wembley or Manchester Utd/City, and while Wlad is very rich another few million will do no harm. At the end of the day neither fighter hurt each other or had each other in any real trouble, a rematch could go either way IMO.

A proper quality dust up I'm looking forward to is Frampton v Quigg.
Uv liked Frampton from day one, he's looked a right mean little bastard but he stalled on the Quigg fight and performed below par in the States which, coupled with Quiggs fast finish over Kiko Martinez, has narrowed the bookies odds closely in line with each other.
A proper domestic world title dust up and that will be awesome with the Irish fans packed in with the Mancs at the Manchester Arena. Think Hatton levels of volume!

I think AJ is still a way off fighting against the the likes of Fury, Klitschko and Wilder. It takes years to reach these levels. It's all too easy to raise expectations of these young fighters, I think they have to pay their dues. Joshua has a date with Dillian Whyte in a couple of weeks, a fight he's expected to walk through. But just as most wrote off the chances of Fury, most will do the same with Whyte against AJ, and Whyte is ranked well down the pecking order. I expected Klitschko to win, but have been pushing Fury's barrow for months as I thought him a live chance. I think Whyte is a live chance. If it turns out that he gets into a serious contest with Joshua, then it's fair to suggest that the boom youngster still has some way to go yet. If AJ blasts White out of there in three, then he's a lot closer than I think he is. I don't think that will happen.
I think he'll blast him out in 1 Cyc.
