He’s a lovely lad, I’ve known him since he was born, he lives across the road from me. I’ve seen him box as an amateur and I was supposed to be going last night, but something cropped up (his pro debut was delayed, as he broke his jaw in training in the build up to his first scheduled fight).

Forgot about that. To be fair Joyce looked an absolute beast up to and including knocking out Joe Parker. Now Joyce’s form has fell off a cliff and Parker looks like a world heavyweight title challenger, go figure.
Just got back from last night, great atmosphere, but Queensbury just isn't a patch on matchroom for their nights and fighters..... Really pleased Derek beat him!

We were just saying, why pay all the wedge to just turn up for the main event? Beer in there can’t be cheap.
