Didn't we get him when he was 17? If so he will be hullgrown
He was 17, he's just not from Hull.

Aye probably shagging Tymons bird as we speakHe'll still be hullgrown
No doubt some of the premier league sides will take note, but its far too early for talk of a sparkling career. He was good against Burton and Bolton but average vs. Wolves. Still he's a prospect.
I wasn't talking about the FA definition of the word. I simply said all players are homegrown and they are.
Hullgrown home grown, who gives a ****? Just give the lad a new and improved contract.
Does every thread have to turn into this mind numbingly tedious petty borefest?

Agreed. This is the optimum time for the club to fully secure a potential asset. Why slap a price tag on him at all, why not say he's not for sale FFS.
More like we should be offering him a huge new contract.

Put him on a long contract now (without unfavourable clauses) then watch his value rise with every goal
He's a young player who has just discovered he can score goals at first team level. He will be full of confidence and in this league we could have a 20 goal player on our hands. That could mean a £(15 to 20) million player in today's market - if the club are in the driving seat.
So now is the time to pin him down, not when greedy agents are whispering in his ears.
People seem to fail to grasp that getting a lucrative deal at a players current club is lucrative for agents too.Agents will already be taking to him and "advising" him just as they did with Tymon
I'm sure they are, but the offer of a longer (and hopefully more lucrative) contract at his current career stage will be far more tempting than when lower level PL clubs are expressing an interest.Agents will already be taking to him and "advising" him just as they did with Tymon
