Anyone complaining about the season so far are just these people who are only ever happy when they are moaning.

No one thought we would be 4th (3rd tomorrow if we win) and in a cup final at the start of the season, no one.

    We are ahead of schedule.

It's not because every side is different and the same clubs aren't in the league. There's also a summer break.

Doing it over two half's isn't the same as doing a full season.. the pressure etc It's all completely different

    Arsenal's result since start of year - P4 W2 D1 L1
    Our results since start of year - P4 W1 D3 L0

Regardless of the recent below par performances, we are definitely "doing it".

Doing what ? The conversation was that we don't know which way the rest of the season will go.

Your position is that it's just dip and top 4 is now inevitable.

My position is that even finishing 10th would be nothing but positive and we'll have to wait and see what almost an entire half season unfolds .

    Both views are fine .

10th now would be a disappointment, it's silly to say it would be positive, you are also allowed to change expectations according to how the season is progressing.

Doing it, as in being successful and not dropping off.

I've never said top 4 was inevitable, that's what my prediction would be right now, but in no way do I think it's inevitable.

Finishing 10th would be nothing but positive? Maybe that could have been a view at the start of the season, but to finish 10th from being in the position we are now would be a massive disappointment to me.

I see it's just ive been experiencing the old I'm happy with everything anyway phenomenon when someone has lost the track of debate quite a lot recently.

The suggestion is that I'm not happy with things because I'm saying something they don't like the idea of.

In actual fact they're happy now, but they're not happy with the idea newcastle aren't going to maintain their position, so they assume I'm not either and out comes the I'm happy you're not phenomenon.

I'm happy with whatever tbh I just don't think they'll finish top 4 or win on the 26th...

The win on the 26th to me seems most likely... far easier than finishing top 4 over still nion half a season to to go .

I honestly couldn't give a **** about top 4 . The pot is what I desire.... both ideally though.

Pretty sure every other NUFC fan could give a **** about top 4 mate, it doesn't have to be one or the other you know.

I agree winning the cup overrides anything, and tbh if we won that, I wouldn't mind the league form going to ****, as it would be a fair trade of.

But right now I can see this team maintaining the form, it's a very strong squad and lots of teams underrate us.

No one said pinning their hopes on it, but we'd still rather finish top 4 and win the cup.

This one or the other business does my head in, we want to win every game and that's that.

That's fair enough we actually agree this is the thing I'm finding odd.

All I'm saying is I'm not that arsed about top 4 and whatever happens is great now .

I'm just not convinced they're in a dip and think that they might just not good enough over a full season to maintain top 4 form because the last month hasn't been top 4 form.

I'll need to see actual evidence they're capable of winning games again.

I think something of a come down was always inevitable after that run we were on - we won 8 and drew 1 from 9! I'm just glad it's something we're regarding as a dip rather than a crash, and something I can definitely see us improving on.

What the hell does "not arsed about top 4 mean", would you rather Spurs or someone else got it instead of us like?

And that's not me expecting anything, but i'm deffo "arsed" about trying to finish top 4 even if we don't quite.

You also are allowed not to and neither should be classed as silly because it's how they feel .

No NUFC fan if you asked them right now would say 10th is a positive season.
