Liverpool fan in peace. I personally can see Borrini going to Sunderland. This is the third preseason Brendan Rodgers has been in charge and each of them he has brought players on tour who had a fee agreed. I dont know why he does but he does.

First season it was Carroll and Adam. Last season Downing. This season Borrini. I think the papers see him boarding a plane and add 2 plus 2 and get 700.

Hopefully ye do get him as I like him but hes obviously not in Brendans reckoning even though he was his very first signing.

I think you've out grown him fella. I think Suarez and Sturridge's goals propelled you two or three years ahead of Brendon's progression plan. Borini never stood as chance with them two and all of a sudden you need better than him. Just unlucky for him you're doing so well as I think he would have grown with the team had you improved more gradually.

Fabio Borini is reportedly blocking his transfer to Sunderland, and Liverpool need to be careful as they move forward with a potential sale of the young Italian.

Sunderland manager Gus Poyet recently confirmed the Black Cats had agreed a transfer fee for Borini, who had spent the previous season on loan from Liverpool at the Stadium of Light. As he told the Northern Echo (via the London Evening Standard's Richard Parry):

What I can inform you is that we have agreed terms with Liverpool. We are now waiting for correspondence, and we will go from there. We’re just waiting.

It’s an ongoing thing. We’ve done the steps that we needed to do properly, but the next step is that we are still waiting for the correspondence. Then we will go on from there, doing everything official, in the right way.

I think (Fabio’s) impact is clear, as is the reason why we want to spend that quantity of money. We know how much he can give us because we know him perfectly. It would be perfect for us.

Sky Sports' Fabrizio Romano knows the player has decided otherwise, however:

I've been thinking about it today and to be fair, all through last season when he was playing for us, he never said he wanted to be a Sunderland player and always maintained he wanted to stay and fight for his place at Liverpool.

Surely he feels he must have some sort of role with Liverpool this year then. Wouldn't be anything but a fringe player for them.

And so has his agent, i'm 50/50 after reading that, you cant knock him for wanting to stay and fight for glory, hope he comes but not so sure anymore, the scenario's at the end make perfect sense

He won't win medals with Liverpool reserves

He believes in himself, cant knock it, he wont make it, think byron posted a bit back that liverpool have jumped ahead of him, i also think thats the case, they are hoying money about arl ower. He's showing false ambition, if he does get a chance at LFC i hope he takes it, when rodgers sits him down and says "look fabio, i cannot guarantee you first team footy, we have accepted sunderlands offer, i think you should go" maybe at that point it will dawn on him?

No smoke without fire imo, and there's a hell of a lot smoke with this one. Borini clearly doesn't want to come and in that case I definitely don't want him. Hope we **** him off now and look elsewhere, don't want anyone here who doesn't want to be here, especially at £14m!!

If all that's said is true I don't want him <bubbly>
