As has been said before, I am assuming he will play on the left of the front three which means Defoe up top, dick has said Defoe can't play there. So surely we are bringing a striker in. I cannot see Borini being played up front. Does Dick want him?

Pretty sure Dick will have final say on transfers. After his comments on transfers before he arrived, I doubt that he would allow a player to be bought without him giving a final say

Sheff Wed offered £10m for McCormack from Fulham and it was rejected! So Borini for £8m plus add ons puts it into perspective.

Forget the money, we're ****, we are desperate, clubs know that and we have to pay simple as that.

Does he improve us? Yes
Can he play in Dicks system? Yes
Does he give 100% on the pitch? Yes
Is he young with resale value? Yes

I know he said he did not want to come here but he is not the sort of player to sulk he will give 100%

If he does well we will be able to sell him on for a profit so the money is not a big risk.

I am not 100% sure he is the right man to play the lone striker role? Ramos might be a better option but he is better than Fletcher or Graham.

HELP! HELP!

I went to bed last night 30/08/2015 and appear to have woken up on 31/08/2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way, we stay up (just) again, sack Gus and - yes you'd better believe it - Get Dick Advocaat as his replacement!

Oh. By the way. Borini doesn't sign for us. He reckons we aren't good enough for him...........................

Let's face it, if he comes here and on his first interview or article in the Echo, he says that he was trying to get into the Liverpool team (which is much better than ours) then you can't blame the lad for his ambition.

If any of you are footballers surely you would want to play for the best team you could.

Then, if he says he will give everything for us, he will be accepted.

You can't blame the lad for wanting the best he can get.

I don't really think it's all about the money.

If we do get him then we should accept and support him 100%.

The strange thing is, we need him less now with the other signings we have made. Our priorities are LB, RB, all out striker then central defence.

Funny how we've needed a LB for ages and now that we have one we really need another, in fact PVA would probably make a good left winger.

How about Seb for RB?

I think it would make sense to play Seb at right back. You would have someone could defend, as well as get forward. Then it would just leave us to get a left back

Well blow me one he's having a medical ( apparently) that means nowt.how many of our targets have failed medical over the years. <bubbly>

Don't get me wrong I think he would be a good swap for wickham.like for like slight step up.some may say big step up as wickham did very little.IF he come we shall see <bubbly>

did he turn us down a year ago and humiliate our manager in the process? Yes
did he prefer to ride the pine @ anfield rather than play for us every week? Yes
has he waited untill the last minute to try and get a move anywhere but sunderland? Yes
is his missus fit? Yes, Yes :)
