Is this interregnum, waiting (hopefully) dumb and dumber to depart and new signings to come in (nothing yet) the most boring time for football fans?

It got me thinking about other boring things. As a summer job I was once a swimming pool attendant...sitting high up in a silly chair... I remember being so bored I counted the number of tiles in the wall next to me.

Or being at one of 'her' parties with her friends and being bored out of my skull and after 10 mins thinking can I generate a row so I can leave.

Anyone have any other boring interludes?

Listening to the transcript of the wife's day at work, with special guest appearances by "very angry woman" and the "are you listening to me" cliff hanger

I did security at an all night rave in Cannes, took days before I shook off the beat in my head.

Another time me and a mate did 12 hour shifts watching two prototype Ferraris on a railway siding in Antibes. They were on their way from Italy to the motor show at the NEC in Birmingham and we were there for three nights.

The funny thing was they were stolen at the motor show. A low loader arrived on the final day, with loads of paperwork, and they let them go <laugh>

I know I shouldn't, but I had a chuckle at that.
