Seems that, according to the Daily Express, Pellegrini hasn't ruled out a move for Wilf...... http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/546696/Manchester-City-Transfer-Bid-Wilfried-Bony
Liverpool and Spurs have both been touted as potential buyers - but can they guarantee Bony Champions League football? Man City can - not only immediately, but "guaranteed" as well for next season. Wilf's head may well be turned by City if they came knocking.
Let's not kid ourselves,if any of the big clubs come calling in January he'll be off,and we'll have a big pay day.
I don't think he'll leave to anyone. Especially not Liverpool, where similar style strikers Lambert and Balotelli have struggled tremendously! If Man City want him, it's been nice to know you, Wilf!
I'm pretty sure Bony's not going anywhere this season for a couple of reasons. Firstly, with us he is, arguable, our most important player, the pinnacle of our food chain so to speak. At Man City, Chelsea, even Arsenal or Man U, he wouldn't be considered as such. With them, imo, he'd be viewed as an impact player from the bench. I say this because, as much as WE love him, he does lack the ball skills, touch and finesse a top four club would require for the 'astronomical' fee we'd expect for him. Secondly, he has a serious commitment to Les Ãléphants and if they do well in the ACN, then he would not be available to play for any Prem team until Feb which could extend further if he gets injured. I think the above reasons should give any team pause when considering signing Bony and if no 'astronomical' fee materialises, then he's ours for the remainder of the season at least.
Aguero will be back by the end of ANC and so I don't think Man City would be interested. The only other teams in the UK he may be interested in are Man Utd and Chelsea and both of those are well blessed with attacking players at the moment.
If he wants Champions League football, then apart from City and Chelsea, he's got as good a chance of getting that with us next season - if we stop f**ing around and focus on playing our best - as with anybody else. Places 3 and 4 are up for grabs IMO. We've shown that we are more than capable of taking points off any of these "other" clubs. Bony is the key to that.
Utd will finish top 4 for me too. They're playing crap but winning again. Anybody from 4-9 can get that last spot imo.
Bony will have to step up a level to catch the attention of a top 4 side! He's not going anywhere soon...............
With him going to the African nations cup in January, I don't think he'll be an attractive purchase. Come august though, I think someone will make us an offer we can't refuse.
Daily Telegraph reporting that City have made an approach.... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...anuel-Pellegrini-bids-to-boost-firepower.html
nowhere near good enough for a team like man city with all their better players who are on the bench, His finishing is not top notch for a start and would end up another sinclair spending his time in the 3rd team and only playing a couple of home cup games if he is lucky. He needs a team like Arsenal or liverpool if he wants to play regular...
Bet Bony goes for 25 million with Sinclair delivering the cheque from a one way ticket to Swansea....unlike most , I hope it happens.
Errrrrrrrm There is a massive difference bony playing for swansea than there is for man city A man city striker would double bony's tally if he played for us
Bony will **** his career up if he goes to man city's 3rd side as he would never be a regular in the first team. Playing for us magnifies all our good players and when they move on they are finally seen for what they really are...average or just above but no way a superstar. they only get that status playing for clubs of our standard..
Man City only lack one player , a bull ...and Bony fits the bill .He would be a PERFECT Man City transfer imo and believe City know that.Couple of days before the window closes unless others show early interest....goners!
