call me old fashioned but I’d have a problem seeing the abuse that a failing manager gets aimed at a women.

Rightly or wrongly, it would make big news in the football world if we became the 1st club to have a female manager. It would create a lot of interest and a lot of free publicity for the owners

I think one revolution at the club (2 if you count the off and on pitch staff as separate, which they are) is enough for me. Can’t see why a woman couldn’t coach a men’s side, men coach the women’s team. But they are different games and I don’t know how women get the necessary experience coaching men’s football to bridge that gap. I’m not sure Ipswich town is the place to start that journey. Not right now…

Already been done. Cherie Lunghi played a woman manageress of a second division football team.late 80s if I remember correctly along with Warren Clark. Perhaps we could get her to reprise her role for real? Could we do worse ?

I very much doubt that this one will even be on their radar. I would not lose any sleep over a change at this point. If i was the owner I’d probably be giving him a few more matches, maybe five or so, to see if something clicks with Morsy and the new ‘keeper in the side.

I could see a female coming in to the club on a Coaching role and given our outstanding women’s team a programme for bringing coaches through both the men’s and women’s teams would be progressive. Surely it’s a slowly, slowly approach for bringing women into the men’s game not a hard landing ina hot seat?

Why not? There are plenty of women heads of state / presidents / prime ministers. No less capable of managing a football club than a man and could not do any worse than the men have done at Town over the last 12 years.
