Ok, everyone, lets calm down! We are all passionate for Ipswich Town FC to do well. 1. We all agreed that Mick's time, style & relationship with the club and supporters was over 2. We all recognised we needed a new younger face 3. We all believed from what we gathered, that the whole Club needed a make-over 4. We all know that Evans was never going to plough vast sums of funds into the club 5. We have all been surprised, at times, by the change in style & formation, of play 6. We all know that it hasn't produced the desired results....yet. 7. We all have been shocked at the large turn-over of players 8. We mostly appreciate the new fresh younger feel to the squad Some of us remain hopeful that things will turn round and this afternoon is the start.... Some of us are already despairing about this season's prospects. We all have our own strong views & opinions. Let's all respect each other's views, and keep the passion! And avoid the needless criticism & judgementals. COYBs
Not all of us gaffer, some of us are passionate, some of us are passive. Apart from JWM. I would have liked the Burley / Butcher option Apart from JWM I thought he would. I expected it. I disagree, I wanted to be bottom at this stage. We needed it. I would prefer to have aged journeymen in the side. Some people sound like they want us to lose to prove themselves right. Some of us were despairing after two games. Some of them are pretty tame, actually. I respect nearly everyone's views but not plonkers. Why, it's fun? Come on Town!
I hear what you're saying Gaffer but still reserve the right to call out anyone posting obvious rubbish or "banal drivel"(as I think it was described elsewhere).
I'm very prepared to support Hurst with what he's trying to do but every game he makes some quite surprising decisions. No RB today, Chambers or Pennington to play there!!
Don't understand why Hurst has to fit Pennington in at RB. Donacien plays well with Edwards down that side and I want that partnership to grow.
We have three players who are comfortable with the ball. Edwards, Nolan and Jackson are the only lads with any kind of skill in their feet. Ward is the new Lee Martin, absolutely useless.
Time to bring on Walters, if he really is fit. Scores a cracker and we go on to win comfortably. Dream on!
Surely we can go 3-4-3 now against 10 men. Get Knudsen off for Harrison, Walters on for useless Ward. Midfield of Edwards, Nolan, Skuse and Edun. Front three of Harrison, Jackson and Walters. Let's bloody have a go!
Boos ring around the ground says it all. Dear me. Not the performance nor entertainment we needed. Looking bleak. Oh, and Brum up next, just beat Leeds. Hmm.
