Roof, dude ffs
Guidolin wasn't 'put under' any circumstances Roof, he simply accepted a highly paid job. While he was here we played **** football, last season up until he went on the sick when Curtis who got us going and Guidolin rode a freebie to the end of the season. This year we've earned a whopping 0.57 points per game so he had to go, not because of any conspiracy or because we have LucyFur as chairman, its simply because our club was suffering with Guidolin in charge.
Re Williams: he decided to go and why should we stop him? He gave us the best years of his career and we showed loyalty to him by allowing to get his paid day. The problems we had in defense since were due to Fernandez poor form, not Williams' absence and on the pitch at least, this seems to have been rectified with the arrival of our new signing van der Hoorn. A very good buy, well done Huw.
Re Strikers
: No one expected miracles, we just thought and still think that they'll be more productive than Gomiss
Re improvement: For the last two weeks, only, of his reign we played a style of game that had 'Curtis' stamped all over it. He even started sitting next to Guidolin on the sideline. Was this down to Guidolin already knowing his fate and Curtis taking more of a role in things, coincidence? If its a football reason your after then look no further than Leon Britton. It is plain and obvious that we started to play well from the moment Guidolion picked for him to play in the B-team against Citeh in the cup, coincidence?
Re Fer: never had a go at him just his selection. Picking Fer completely wipes out our attacking threat through the centre and on both flanks. Picking Fer in the middle costs Siggy his place as attacking midfielder and his attacking threat and prowess in front of goal. It also costs Barrow and Montero a starting place or a place on the bench as Siggy is moved to the wing, blocking their selection. It also snuffs out any remaining attacking threat on the right wing. Because Siggy is crap as a left winger, defenses can line up and gang bang whoever is selected on the right because they know we pose no threat ANYWHERE ELSE on the pitch. This is all Guidolins fault not Fer's because Fer is a central midfielder or a covering midfielder asked to play box to box or as an attacking midfielder and he is no Joe Allan.
Re Montero: but the other managers did pick him Roof, may have been for 60 minutes as a starter, or 30 off the bench, but he did get picked and when he played he was a threat.
As far as I'm concerned Guidolin played too many players out of position and then compounded his errors by asking the team to play in a system they had little faith in which took them even further out of their comfort zone. His 0.57 points per game shows that something had to change and change it did. Thank Jebus someone made that change, who was that now?
I'm not going to address the rest of your post Roof because we don't see eye to eye on any of it. In fact I think we'd need a large hadron collider to get our opinions to meet so I'm not going to argue. I will say though 'I'm right and your wrong'
