Fistly let me state this is not a direct moan aimed at anyone.

But does the board need a shake up?

Unlike many other sites on the web (where mods are just ghosts) this board has always relied on active mods. Not just for modship. But for activity..

Now we have 4. Lets say fairly inactive. How about handing over to a never generation?

GA. Is often on. Seems to be the only one who is proactive (as proven by the monty debacle).

How about the likes of Nacho and Giacc? Ideally id love big vin aswell...

Just a thought..

Posting and modding doesn't need to go hand in hand. Let the mods mod and the posters post. If it overlaps, awesome. If it doesn't. It makes no difference.

But some of the posters are most active when mods ( you excluded and the current lot).

Its my only logic. The likes of Nacho etc are the active ones now.. Why not? (if they want it that is)

I was very active as a mod. I was active before that too.

Being a mod sickened me of the place. I think we'd be better off not forcing prolific posters to mod as it could push them away.

No one's complaining, nothing needs changing.

Ok. Goodnight..

I've been a mod for several months now and I've only had to use my mod power once, I can't even remember what it was for. If anyone wants to replace me, I'm OK with that.

I do hope you realise that there was no malice behind this thread.. Guess i was thinking back to Syd and desix...both ****s.

No thanks - appreciate the efforts of others to do so however.

Realistically unless someone is acting themselves this board doesn't seem (from my seat) to need that much modding.

I'll openly admit that I'm not as active as I used to be (family and work have been much more important recently - that's not a dig at anyone but simply a fact)

I've had a look around some other forums and other boards and think that I have it easy as a mod on here. You lot, for the most part, are to thank for that. There are times when people have been dicks and I look back and think that I could've dealt with it better, but I can't turn back time. (I hate Cher)

There's been **** thrown our way in the past and I've been close to jacking it in completely, but am still here. If enough people want us to move over I'm pretty sure that we would, but I love this board.

Having said that, I'm leaving the north east for my holidays in an hour or so and will not be on this board much till next week!!

As you know I read and enjoy all the posts
I some times have input and like the banter.
For me it's fine and I will just enjoy and go with the flow

The Mods, on here, are much better than other boards I've seen, I'm happy to leave things as they are.

Forums are only as good as the people who regularly post.

If the threads are good, the responses polite and people allowed to discuss things without being attacked then there's no problem.

But once the bulk of decent people have given up trying there's no way back.

Tinkering with new ideas, inviting strangers on, demanding change, new Mods, etc does absolutely nothing but ruin it further imo.

The board was a great place to be, at one point, but it's all over now.
