you missed a real treat wandermagic,a fantastic performance from all the players, the chant on the terrace of its just like watching charlton athletic was pure class

fantastic performance, well deserved. could have got more, but who cares :) all loanee's looked excellent, and its good to see marv back

cheers tewkes the doc suprised me how well he played and scored a good goal with his head.the arsenal lad in midfield was superb and i hate to say that being a spurs fan but credit where its due.charlton songs all the game from the terrace all in all a good day and your lot won as well and kept my bet going so well done to charlton ,keep it up lads, all i need now to round off a perfect weekend is for spurs to beat the gooners and my weekend will be complete.

where the fcuk did that performance come from we were superb all over the pitch ,i am still in shock.the loanees played their part but in my eyes beever was unplayable and deserved a hatrick but 2 will do

It's been obvious all season that we have a decent attack, whoever plays with Beavon. Today for a change the defence looked solid and organised. Doherty won everything in the air and I thought helped Laing and McCoy. Basey also looked more confident. Eastmond's performance as a holding midfield player was also crucial. The solidity at the back allowed the forwards to play, and Hayes looks an ideal partner for Beavon (at last someone called Hayes making a positive contribution!). Impossible to find a negative, unless you count the fact that five of the starting line up aren't actually Wycombe players.
I even thought the referee had a good game; everything the Yeovil ref wasn't.
Can they repeat this next week?

Well finally Hayes and Waddock have delivered what the team needed... a back bone. If I hadn't got things to do I would have been there today. But from what I have read the team has been given the back bone that it has needed all season, someone at the back to organise the defence. Central midfield (which has been there but injuries keep changing it) and another forward who knows what to do in front of goal. As has already been said Beavon links up well with anyone, they all seem to love playing with him. When was the last time we scored 5 without reply?
The best bit is that most of the loans are until the end of the season. One more question why wasn't this done a month ago in the transfer window? or has the Liverpool cheque only just cleared?
Did the 'Waddock out' banners come down before the end of the game?

bull 7 .........one blinding save and a couple of routine ones
mccoy 8 looked solid at the back and good going forward
laing 8 composed on the ball and looked solid
doherty 9 ouzes class and deserved mom award ,his constant talking to the defenders was what we have been missing all season
basey 8 one of his better games for us also looked solid and was unlucky second half with a free kick against the woodwork
hackett 8 very good performance on the right both going forward and helping out the defence
lewis 8 back to his old self very solid in the tackle
eastmond 9 i thought he was very good hard in the tackle and very good with the ball and bossed the midfield, close to getting mom award
mcnamee 8 played very well and had every trick in the book
hayes 9 his link up play was superb and deserved his 2 goals he looked like he had played with beever for ages and they formed a lethal partnership
beever 9 well what can you say about the little genius that hasnt already been said he gave pool defence a torrid time

no waddock out banners yesterday thank god and i totally agree with you on why wasnt this done a month ago? maybe those players were not available then who knows.yesterdays side had a real backbone to it and long may that continue.another worrying thing is how the hell are we gonna keep hold of beever come the end of the season when week in week out he puts in performances like that

excellent performance by all concerned, we looked a different side. some hartlepool fans are blaming the loan system, others have come up with the theory that charlton lent us the players so we could beat sheffield wednesday and MK.......sore losers ;)

Did I just dream that we won 5-0 this weekend??

I have been one of Waddock's critics in terms of tactics and his signings but credit where credit is due that is a fantastic result and the loan signings this week hopefully look like the backbone we have been crying out for. The important thing will be how we follow this up. Many of loan signings have had a good first game, just look at the endless list of debut scorers but lets hope they can keep putting in some good performances.

As many have mentioned Doherty's talking and organisation at the back is a massive plus and will lift the quieter players like McCoy and Basey and hopefully mean that Bull isn't on his own! Also Hayes will hopefully help share the scoring duties with Beaver!

Agreed, What I also liked was the way the subs warmed up at at half time, seeing Gaz, Mcclure, Strevens etc working and passing , showing the Gaffer he had options gave me confidence. If i was nit-picking I would say Mcclure needs longer run out (great prospect) but you cant argue with the result.
