Melt Elton John NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That would make some mess with all the Plastic Surgery he's had. <laugh>

I'm sure I melted one of my sisters Rod Stewert albums, and she wasn't happy about it.

- Who sang that ?

This is quite encouraging actually. We should set up a breaking vinyl group I bet Dev did it too with his Rush albums.
- Unfortunately this does not seem to be the case.

Ah - Nick Lowe, I love the sound of breaking glass - a classic and near the all time top something or other list at RL Towers, also pops up on lots of mixtapes to impress the burds <laugh>.

Anyway, a night out where we destroy some vinyl before heading off for a curry ?

Thaaat's the dooo-aalitay of the Rod. Yay kin take the man oot the truck, but ye cannae take the trucker oot the man.

I had that too. The B side was a Paul Simon song if I remember. I really didn't like it and actually smashed the single up. I thought it was quite a punk thing to do at the time as I thought they were the face of manufactured punk I think I still have it in it's sleeve to this day. I'm going to look for it and for once try and prove this ridiculous story is true.

Ya beauty I still had it. I took a photo on top of yesterdays Daily ****** to prove its veracity. I can't believe I have kept a broken single for about 35 years! I will be appearing on a TV show near you soon about ancient hoarders.

The Dickies is fairly benign compared to when I bought Nick Lowe's, I love the sound of breaking glass and threw my old dears bedroom louvers into my neighbour's garden. This one ended badly as they landed on her sons rabbit hutch and covered the little bunny in shards of glass.

We took our music seriously in the old days.

Surprised to see you read the Rangers Hating Daily Rhebel Moses?

<grr> Never, I love my vinyl even though i've not listened to any of it for 20 odd years.

....However, IF I was destroying vinyl it would have to be Scouting For Girls who genuinely make me angry whenever I hear them. To see a ****, talentless pile of old **** like this make a career out of music makes me want to stick needles in my ears and slash my wrists. I don't think I have ever despised a band so much so if any one has any of their affronts to humanity masquerading as music feel free to send me them, i'll even pay the ****ing postage.

Had a little look amongst the cob webs and f*** knows what else in the loft and found the The Rezillos, Top Of The Pops.
After all these years it was still there and still broken.

Why keep it?

Never knew that.

To think what became of Sting and Copeland compared to her.

I think Andy Summers may even have played a few gigs with her too, can't recall exactly but Henri Padovani the original Police guitarist certainly did. The Police toured with her as support and when they finished their set they simply got back on stage with her.

A great idea do you have a vinyl copy of The concert for Bangladesh? We can use the broken records for plates. Even better it was at riple album so there's plenty vinyl to go around<ok>

Aside from our old punk rock 45's here's a dirge from Tom Waits. A well written dirge I hasten to add.

A lot of my chums are big on American Music Club Ive just never got into them for some reason.

Heres another few from Nadine, Ive been listening to them a lot lately, limited amount of stuff available on youtube though. Theyve got four albums in total but only one appears on youtube - an injustice.
