I know there was a bit of a ruckus but the more likely reason was that we did not exit the way we came in. So our fans were going the wrong way then being goaded by the home fans. I wasn't close enough to see if that was the entire story but it's a significant part for sure. Eventually an announcement was made over the tannoy as to which way they had to leave. My mate and I stayed in our seats and were amongst the very last to vacate the stadium. There were definitely louder Pozzo Out chants as things got worse, directly behind me though a few rows back. I'm still firmly in the pro Pozzo camp but that's not immovable. There were some pretty awful performances there, chief amongst them Kayembe who in my opinion might as well have been playing in orange. That affected Kamara badly. As to Kabasele in that video, he's got form. That was as poor a second half of football as I've witnessed from any Watford side. At the end the players couldn't face us. On their haunches some of them, all with their backs turned. WTE passed his shirt to a kid and looked embarrassed and sad. I rather suspect he wants to be at Watford and do well here: I think he's a fan. I had to bite my tongue a few times, there are too many fans who think we should win every game, too many players who think the same without putting in the requisite effort, too many folks who have forgotten where we've come from and where we could have been. There's quite the malady at the moment and I'm not sure what the cure is.
Having seen it again looks like he was almost going to pull up which wouldn’t have been a great surprise with our injury record then doesn’t bother to keep looking around to see if anyone else will. Daft thing is he did well originally shepherding the winger back up the line . Obviously thought his job was done? Ah I see - yes all that fuss and confusion after the game wouldn’t help or ribbing from away fans. Must admit it is a real worry how after a good away win at Stoke we turn in two very disappointing and lacklustre performances. Looked like we had some chances in the first half but so did they and then we had none after the break . As I say the Edwards saga and how it came about with the DoF going then coming back hardly helped . And the lack of real response from anyone at the top - not even in the match programme v. Swansea isn’t helpful . Mind you would anyone really take any notice of what was said now ? Certainly losing to a team in Blackpool’s position badly would not go down well with those who maybe haven’t seen us lose to sides like that before . Had that been at Burnley or Norwich maybe wouldn’t be quite a negative reaction . I guess all the players can do is win games and Bilic get them going if they really do have the pride to achieve better .
I agree. Shall not be taking my grandson again until the behaviour of our fans improves - significantly. I was disappointed with our 2nd half showing - although Asprilla lightens up any game , even if it doesn't always get anywhere - but the attitude, vitriol etc of the moaners ruined it for me. Most of them barely out of school. And some who should know better. It amuses me how they always think it's 'our club'. NO IT ISN'T. Get real folks. If you want to complain -buy the club. Sink large amounts of your money into the club.
Surely any judgment about how poor or good the season has been ought to be at the end of the season . Some fans are basically doing what they accuse the Pozzos of doing - knee jerk over dramatic reaction based on a few games . Talk of being relegated and doomed for ever to League One/Championship life. Why did we not have protests last season when we sacked 3 managers, spent poorly and were pretty rubbish - losing 11 in a row at home ? I am sure people endured that and hated the season even more than this ! As I say it’s all really come ahead to ahead since Edwards got sacked and Gino went above Duxbury’s head so to speak after the latter gave all these promises people lapped up and believed. I doubt the club do anything differently in terms of how they deal with managers, players and agents now than they have for a number of years. All those concerns and issues could have been brought up before. I can understand fans being worried about the future financially if we don't go up but they won't get many answers to to their concerns at this time.
I agree, but being a football fan isn't about considered judgment, it's about over the top emotional reaction!
Which is why I always look to Matt and Ig (BHappy not BSAD) for perspective. I went with a neutral, a guy who has been to Watford with me on quite a few occasions and used to play at a decent level, and he cannot believe how we contrived to lose that match. He gets the frustration too, if not the finer detail.
