Interesting that our full backs are a key attacking element for us, but we appear not to have any effective plans for covering the space behind them. We've paid for this by conceding a number of times to quick counter attacks this season.

Spot on. You point out another glaring tactical weakness that McNutt has apparently failed to notice or deal with judging from the number of times it has been exploited by opposition Managers. Just before Blackpool scored its winning goal in injury time one of their players was left completely unmarked on the right side of our goal in the penalty area with none of our defenders within five yards of him. Fortunately his shot on goal was beaten out by Ingram.

The tactical ineptitude of McNutt has already cost us massively. We should be running away with this Division.

Ingram Yes I know he let three in but how many did he keep out? He was left exposed too often.

I think with the 4-3 -3 set up cover for our full backs has been an issue for as long as this guy has been manager, and probably before tbh (we all know what Grosicki's attutude to having to help his full back was.)Often hear full backs being blamed when it seems to me it's the lack of wide midfield players to help them which causes the problem - remedied surely by 4-4-2. Maybe McCann thinks the wide forwards should be doing that job, but if so, he either hasn't told Wilks or the lad can't be bothered/ doesn't know how - possibly a bit of both. Scott was marginally better but not much.
    Sorry, nearly forgot.
