Blackburn want Appleton!

No-one in their right mind would want to go to the circus that is Blackburn. Shockingly run awful club, i'd be embarrased to be a fan.

Well as I said in the off topic thread, Blackburn haven't got a lot of options. They can't afford compensation for the best Championship managers so have to turn to the likes of Appleton. Can't see him doing a great job, if he goes. But will he want to move so soon after taking the Blackpool job? Somehow I doubt it.

I really can't see why the guy seems to be rated so highly. He's hardly set the world on fire since he arrived at Blackpool, and didn't do much with Pompey.

He also looks very very scary.

You do realise how in the **** Blackpool are don't you?, when Appleton came in he identifield 2 players he wanted. Fees were agreed but then the Blackpool owner offered each lower wages then they were on in the first place. The owner is hated by nearly all Blackpool fans because of his penny pinching. There are even quotes going around saying Appleton didn't realise how bad a position Blackpool are finance wise.

Blackpool have a **** owner and so do Blackburn, but at least with Blackburn he will have money to spend. According to some sources he has already had talk with Rovers. I'm tempted to put a tenner on that he leaves.

Have to agree with Beef. Partly explains why Holloway bailed!

Should be a show following him as he criss-crosses the UK managing a different team each week, both teaching -- and learning -- valuable lessons along the way.

Also perhaps he solves mysteries.

Wow I like this idea...like a murder mystery but with a footballing twist? Could we have a Robbie Coltrane figure as his right-hand man? I really think you are on to something here!!!
