This game is screaming out for a fit Willock, someone to provide that bit of magic to unlock their defence.
I've got a feeling Beale will have plenty to say at half time and we might come out a bit more organised. I think we need a little bit more experience on the pitch. One of the three left footed midfielders needs to be replaced by a right footed player. Based on the first half, I think Dozzell should come off, with Field perhaps sitting back a bit. So, I'm thinking Thomas? At some point, I'd replace Shodipo with Adomah, a) for experience and b) because Shodipo has had a lot more of the ball than Chair but hasn't really done anything with it.
One shot. Strolling to defeat. Dykes isn’t getting any service but when he does, seems content to fall over looking for a free kick. Shodipo, terrible last ball. Chair, holding on to the ball for too long. Dozell, well being Dozell. All so bloody predictable.
Postives: we were slightly the better team first 30 minutes or so. Shodipo a threat then, but not seen much of him since. Chair not in it at all. Dykes looks ponderous. That was negative after all, but Field and Kakay have done very well thankfully. We need to see more from the rest of the midfield. Won't be surprised to see Richards and Armstrong come on and hpefully inject some pace and goals.
A report has reached me from the Rainbow Rangers correspondent at the ground: "Loved the first 30 mins when we were totally on top - more direct, more pace than last season. Shodipo skinning his man, Kakay hit the bar from 25 yards, and then they score a screamer from outside the area with their first shot which we should have closed down and Dieng will be disappointed with (I was right behind it). Really knocked us for the rest of the half and Beale will surely change it a bit now. Dykes isolated up front and no real attacking threat. But I’m still optimistic" Rainbows always pointing to the crock of gold...
Unpredictable is on the bench, if he does a Warburton and waits till we go 2 down to bring him on then that will be a grim sign of things to come. Hit the bar but not had any shot on target , just lacking creativity in the middle of the park and yet again too slow to close down an opponent on the edge of our box. How many times is it gonna take before some ****er addresses this, its costing us games so often now.
Just catching up with things as been out all day..... 2 things - we're losing 1 - 0 at Blackburn and it's raining on a Bank Holiday weekend here...... both so bloody predictable C'mon Rangers.....
Prediction, Armstrong will come on and score and we'll have a new player to overhype and heap too much pressure on.
