I do feel really sorry for Kean. He's quite obviously a nice guy doing what he can. However, employees are there for periods of time, but fans are there for life, unless you cheese them off to the extent that they never come back. The undoubted fact is that the supporters are incredibly unhappy with what is going on at Blackburn. They see their club freefalling out of the Premier League when, if the right thing were done, it might not happen. In my opinion, the owners have made one fundamental error, right from the start. You don't blood a newbie manager with a Premier League side. There is far too much to lose. It's bad enough doing it in the Championship, but in the PL..? You've got to be joking. There is also a time for loyalty to a manager and there is the time to pull the plug. In this case, there is enough evidence for the owners to pull the plug. However, the owners appear to be grossly unaware of the situation. One can admire their steadfastness but, from what I have pieced together, it is through ignorance, rather than knowledge, and that can't be right. They also face another problem, if they decide to sack Kean. Who will accept the poison chalice [?], because Kean must go within the next few days to give any new face a good look at the squad, and a transfer window in which to negotiate, if there is any decent chance of pulling the situation around.
This so reminds me of the appointment of Steve Wigley I can feel the tension coming back.
