What do people think about the treatment Kean is getting? Its gone way too far in my opinion.

End of the day Blackburn are ****, their owners don't give a ****. I don't blame the blackburn fans tbh, I'm sure if it was Saints you would do exactly the same.

Mixed feelings about this one. Agree that Branfoot went through even worse than Kean is getting, but at the time, it felt the right thing to do and Branfoot was such an arrogant git as well. However, when I look at the treatment Kean is getting, I do feel a little bit guilty of letting myself lose a bit of perspective.

What the media should focus on, is the relationship between Kean's agent, Sky Andrew and the Blackburn owners. Blackburn make Andrew their "consultant", who happens to get Kean a juicy new contract and I presume he's the one telling Kean not to quit as he'll get more money if sacked (if Venkeys have the dosh to sack him).

Yet again, looks like something the FA should investigate, BEFORE the mess gets worse, but as usual, they do naff all. (I also think whats going on at Doncaster stinks as well. Agents are only in the game to line their pockets, they don't give a **** about the fans or the clubs).

It's a sorry old mess. It's easy to say what the fans are doing is wrong but we've been there before as well. I feel sorry for Kean in the same way I felt sorry for Poortvliet/Wotte, ie "it's not their fault they are given a job that is out of their depth to save cash". Everyone is a victim, except the ones that make the profit. What do we do to stop the next Venky's? Well I have no idea.

I agree about the agents though, when I look at people like Kia Joorabichan I have to wonder if the game is better for them. (actually I don't, he makes me furious)

I feel really sorry for the guy. I watched the game the other night and when Blackburn let in their second, the expression and his body language was quite gut wrenching to watch. He must feel that nothing is going for him and all he needs is 2/3 positive results and hopefully the form will pick. I hope he saves them and wins over the fans ( if that's possible)

I do feel really sorry for Kean. He's quite obviously a nice guy doing what he can. However, employees are there for periods of time, but fans are there for life, unless you cheese them off to the extent that they never come back. The undoubted fact is that the supporters are incredibly unhappy with what is going on at Blackburn. They see their club freefalling out of the Premier League when, if the right thing were done, it might not happen. In my opinion, the owners have made one fundamental error, right from the start. You don't blood a newbie manager with a Premier League side. There is far too much to lose. It's bad enough doing it in the Championship, but in the PL..? You've got to be joking. There is also a time for loyalty to a manager and there is the time to pull the plug. In this case, there is enough evidence for the owners to pull the plug. However, the owners appear to be grossly unaware of the situation. One can admire their steadfastness but, from what I have pieced together, it is through ignorance, rather than knowledge, and that can't be right. They also face another problem, if they decide to sack Kean. Who will accept the poison chalice [?], because Kean must go within the next few days to give any new face a good look at the squad, and a transfer window in which to negotiate, if there is any decent chance of pulling the situation around.

This so reminds me of the appointment of Steve Wigley I can feel the tension coming back.

Seems strange Venky's would sack Big Sam and bring in a novice, paying the price for that now!!! The treatment Kean got the other night was not good but its the nature of the beast when you manage a foootball club. Remenber Brantfoot getting merciless stick....took my girlfriend to her 1st football match in midweek against Palace. Standing in the West Stand, we lost, at the end fans throwing stuff and spitting at Branfoot.......not pleasant, married girlfriend but for some reason she still doesn't like footy!!!!!!!

Not a lot the fans can do other than shout abuse at Kean when the owners don't want to know(seemingly)

If I was Kean I would rather walk away but saying that who would want the job in his place?

As fans of Portsmouth & Southampton know all too well there is very little a supporter can do when things are going badly.

I do feel a little sorry for Kean as I think Blackburn fans abuse is a little mis-directed. It's the owners who should be getting the protests and the players and managers should be getting the support, but because Kean is the Venkys first appointment it seems the fans were against Kean before they fully realised there new owners were so inempt

Isn't this the same Blackburn fans that bemoaned Allardyce's style of play and wanted him out? People should be careful what they wish for sometimes.

I think it's ridiculous the amount of stick he's been getting during matches. Fair enough, you don't support him but for 90 minutes at least, you should be behind the team and manager. How's booing your own players if they make one bad touch going to help? If anything, it'll make things worse.

We did the same with Branfoot...doesn't make the team play better. It's wrong to make it personal...no manager deliberately loses games...complaints should really be directed at the board that appointed him. Don't suppose Blackburn can afford to sack him.

If they didn't like long ball football, they shouldn't have hired him in the first place. He's played like that everywhere he's been and he's doing the same at West Ham.

I think there are plenty of comparisons between Southamptons time in premier league and that of Blackburn for the last few seasons. When you're a sustained low level premier league club without the resources to compete at the top of the league then the style of football is very important.
In this situation as a supporter you accept that your win/loss ratio will be about 50/50 but if the club attempts to play free flowing attacking football you're more likely to go watch and enjoy the match than if the football is functional long ball fare.

So although not all the supporters of Blackburn were singing for the head of Allardyce as manager, i'm sure hardly any shed a tear at his departure.

Not many of them know it, but relegation can be a good thing. Blackburn as a club, are practically dying on thier arses in the premier league; and having just been there for so long, don't really know what there trying to achieve beyond staying up.

Saying that; they're only an attractive investment due to prem status - they could be L1 long term before they know it.

So I would be getting behind the manager; enjoy the underdog status and enjoy suporting the club.
