The 30 seconds was plenty enough for me. Confirmed we are going to have loads of quality, technically gifted players with invention and experience, and will be far more entertaining and successful than last season. As if I was in any doubt thanks Mr Bircham. Expect him back in midfield with Ollie, Mackie wide, Smith and Washington up front.
Yep, we have all the talent we need in Perch and Mackie, so what we're after is players so cheap, they'll show their character by laughing off their tiny wage packet. Birch looked as depressed as I feel about it!
It was pretty down beat. We're going for players with character because players with skill are too expensive.
Let's hope Olly and Birch can find one or two players with both.

That really set my expectations to a new all time low. Forget about talent, skill, flair, entertainment. Let's bring in some "characters" and we'll run away with the league. I give up, can't take this dire **** one more season.

That all makes sense, Birch. After all, personality and a 'character' is also the first thing we look for in our women too, isn't it?

I personally think Bircham is out of his depth. He and the insane Ollie is a recipe for disaster.
His depth being the shallow end at the under 5s paddling pool.

Echo the thoughts of the vast majority. Doesn't fill me with confidence when he's talking about 'characters'.
How about stating that we intend to coach and improve players Birch? Maybe mention we're intending on pushing the likes of Manning, Furlong, Shodipo etc. to further develop?

While with the very little knowledge of Bircham I have, I doubt he's what we need, all he's really saying is we need leaders which is what we've all been saying for years. Because he's a bit of a lout it gets written off. When Eddie Howe talks about the need for the right mentality in players etc. it's not a problem.
