We've had a bid of £2.8 million turned down for Sharp.... :/

According to sky sports news Doncaster have turned down a 2.8m bid for Billy Sharp from an unnnamed championship club. Could that be us??

Having let Doncaster have Simon Gillett, its the least they can do to return a favour and sell Sharp to us

I think he's worth about £2M at most but if he can fire us to promotion it'll be a bargain. Also we paid more for Delgado, Delap etc and i think Sharp would end up being better value for money than them!!

FWIW i don't think we will end up signing him and if it is over £3M there must be better players out there for that money?!?!?

Sadly the prices of some players are just insane at the moment, potentially 4 million for a decent championship striker is crazy IMO.

you see, this is the dilemma - we have no idea what our budget is - maynard is better than sharp IMO but then again sharp would also add pace to our front line so he may be worth choosing if maynard is too pricey and we need to allocate spend to other players.

then again this may be a drop in the ocean and we can easily afford maynard...who knows???

That's true, I would be very surprised if we spent over £5M. But then again NA could of been given £15M lol.
