According to sky sports news Doncaster have turned down a 2.8m bid for Billy Sharp from an unamed championship club. Could that be us??
Seems it was us then if Doncaster's forum is to be believed. http://www.drfc-vsc.co.uk/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=999999&id=163171&Itemid=108
Well if we bid £2.8 million and it was rejected, we wont be signing Billy Sharp either. However, with the Maynard and Sharp stories, it definetly looks like we're in the market for a striker. Any suggestions?
I'd be surprised if its us(Ipswich) after just signing Chopra and Ellington. 2.8m does seem alot though.
Probably Leicester they are having a serious shopping spree - I work in Leicester with a lot of Foxes fans and their new far eastern owners are spending really big in an attempt to get to the premiership this year Like us, they are looking at either extending the Walkers (soon to have the name changed) or moving out to build a bigger ground with conference centres, hotels etc Be nice to follow their lead and get some big names in
According to a mate we've agreed a fee in the region of £3.2m plus Joseph Mills. Quite liked Mills, shame.
I too have heard this rumour as well, I have never been too impressed by Mills although that may be due to us playing him out of position at LM rather than LB
