They'll probably finish 3rd and lose the play-offs, just to continue the trend.
Their winning goal was closer to pinball than football the other day, though.

Once again La Liga Clubs will make up half the semi-finalists in the European competitions, whilst many people belittle this league as 2/3 team league there is clearly a depth of quality amongst the 'also rans' that the rest of Europe struggle to compete with.

The Spammers cosy little deal with LLDC is even more advantageous than most thought.

The publication of the agreement - despite attempts to prevent this happening - show that Wet Spam pay just £2.5mill for everything! Policing, pitch maintenance, lighting, electricity, all included.

No wonder the ****wits at the LLDC didn't want the details published! As Barry Hearn said, "My dog could have negotiated a better deal"

In other news, there's a live Q&A with a member of the Thorstvedt family on our Facebook page right now. What was that you say? Not that member of the Thorstvedt family?

I don't really watch much Spurs TV but have just had a bit of a binge. Strikes me as a bit odd how it seems to focus on the same 4/5 players all the time. Players like Alli, Wimmer, Sonny, Dier and Walker get a lot of air time; on the other hand players like Kane, Lloris, Toby, Dembele, Danny and Lamela barely feature at all. Are the latter section particularly camera shy or is does their seniority in the squad give them more choice what they get involved in?

Kane, Eriksen and Lamela feature a in a lot of the challenge videos, but not the other stuff.

Holtby used to be all over our channel, you'd think he was the first name on the teamsheet.

I've just read that Arteta might be going Spurs next season on the coaching staff. It's interesting that those involved with the two clubs don't mind crossing to the other, it's only the supporters who possess the hate.

Do you REALLY take any notice of what footballers say hbic? How many times have we heard footballers, managers and chairmen say one thing then do exactly the opposite? Hutton,"Im not going to Spurs." etc etc etc. If the offer was right he'd cross the street like Campbell and all the rest.
Clive Allen, Pat Jennings, Willie Young, Jimmy Robertson, George Graham, William Gallas, Adebayor.

Not getting the UEFA thing about maximum number of teams from one country in the CL. I know it happened to us (well something similar anyway) so it would be funny if it happened to one of the teams that had no sympathy for us at the time, but it's just not right. Either the EL gives a CL spot or it doesn't. If it gives a spot that is then taken from one of the other teams in the same league it isn't really an extra spot at all. In fact it's discriminating against teams (through no fault of their own) in a particular country for being successful. It is therefore not really a football based decision since it wouldn't disadvantage teams from other countries if they won the EL. Just saying that the rule is unfair regardless of who it disadvantages.

The new rule is that 4th place only drops out if a team from the same country win both EL and CL and neither has qualified in the top 4, thereby creating a notional 6 teams in the CL. Only if Citeh and Liverpool win the EL and CL would Man Utd. or Arsenal not qualify as we didn't in 11/12. Why did it have to be us?
