"Liverpool goal: I can see the headlines in tomorrow's papers already. Forget Andy Carroll, because Steven Gerrard has been top class since coming on and he has got a goal to cap an outstanding performance. Jay Spearing and Jordan Henderson combine to play in Gerrard on the left of the area and he composes himself before slipping a delicious shot through the advancing Tim Krul's legs. With him playing like this, a few Liverpool fans will probably be texting or tweeting in to say they CAN still win the league."

Liverpool fans work themselves up into a title furore easily enough without the Beeb helping :D

As it's NYE(well it is here anyway ) and it's quite likely I won't be in a good enough state to type later.
I would like to wish my fellow Spurs brothers & sisters and anyone one else who maybe lurking (Luke?) and a happy new year - cheers.

Did you see the text that said "if Downing had an end product he would be Gareth Bale"

Seems excessive, Croydon.
Didn't want to upset UEFA, I guess.

The maximum points deduction for fielding an ineligible player is three points, so Sion were deducted three for each of the six players fielded against Celtic - which was doubled as they were signed when Sion under a transfer embargo. So if you look at it like that, it's actually fair. Sion, however, are throwing all kinds of wild accusations about, saying it's blackmail (errm...how?) and ranting at FIFA when it was UEFA that handed down the punishment, and generally underlining what a gobshite egotist their chairman is.

36pt deduction!, they may just aswell have said you're relegated in this circumstance. I recall a team starting a season with a deduction recently, just aswell they applied it to this seasons total in this case, its only a 10 team league and 38pts won it! <laugh>

It's alright, I've worked it out.
Man Utd are confused by Blackburn's team selection, as they've picked Henley and Hanley, which is far too similar for the average footballer.
They've also got someone called Kean on the bench, as well as being the manager's name.

I'm sure that Ferguson will have something to say about all this in his post-match comments, if they lose.
Most unfair.

Have you seen United's bench? A who's who of... "who?"

Is Rooney actually injured then or did he eat too much turkey?

There's some famous names on there, YV.
They aren't actually the players who made those names famous, unfortunately for Utd! <laugh>

Cole. Andy? Ashley? Joe, even? Nope, Larnell.
Keane. Robbie? Roy? Of course not, it's Will.
Diouf. El-Hadji? Sorry, but it's Mame Biram.

3 minutes of injury time, despite nobody being treated for one. <ok>
Fergie time is alive and well.
