3 - I wonder how many new younger fans yesterday's game might have created.

I wouldn't have thought that many kids watching it would've been grasped with a passion for Spurs based upon that performance Ensil, but only because it was too easy.
We made Liverpool look totally second rate.

Our best chance of winning over younger fans is getting Bale to play like that regularly. A talented British player will always get the attention of budding mini-footballers and when he gets going he looks unplayable.

True, SF.
I think that it takes a little more time watching the game to appreciate a lot of what Modric does, for example.

You never know, PNP.
I always wanted to follow a team for years but none of them really stood out and I was without a team, and therefore without interest in football, until I was 16. Almost working like a vicious cycle. (Didn't like football cos I didn't have a team, didn't have a team cos I didn't like football.)

My old man always wanted me to go to a game, but I was disinterested.

Then my dad's mate had to pull out of going to a spurs game with him at the end of the 2004/2005 season at home to Aston Villa. So I went instead, with nothing better to do.
The first Spurs game I ever saw was live and we ended up thrashing Aston Villa 5-1. Smashing day out and never looked back.

Could've happened again yesterday to some other kid somewhere.

Modric looked truly happy when he scored- was he happy for the team or thinking of the extra dosh he just put on his contract?
Cynical me - never!
Time for a nice cleansing ale - i'm buying anybody want one? Get your own crisps though.

That's true Solid, but if I remember that Villa game correctly, then it was a good game.
They actually competed for most of it, before being killed off by a couple of late goals.

Liverpool were just never at the races and didn't muster a shot until about 65 minutes in and that was a tame, hopeful daisy-cutter from Downing.

Tottenham have tweeted that Sandro and Gallas could play against Stoke on Tuesday. Looking forward to seeing Sandro's new hair in action :D

Assou-Ekotto has competition!

Face of the playing cards, young kids seeing him on the cover <ok> If we can keep hold of him, we'll have to get a new 70,000 seater stadium.

Edit: Was talking about Bale. We don't want Sandro scaring the kids.

Or for that matter Parker as kids really don't know what a DM really does.My son said to me after the game that now he sees what their role in the game is and he's 24.I've been trying to explain it to him for yrs,but i surpose it's easier to see when someone is actually doing it.

BREAKING NEWS - Arsene Wenger has put in a bid for Fernando Torres, when asked why, he said..."If I play him at Centre Back, at least he won't score any own goals"! :D
