Our U21/Spurs XI sides seem to score for fun.
The reserves have scored 48 goals in 13 games, which is 50% more than the next highest scorers Liverpool (32), despite some of the sides playing 2 extra games.

Have I got this right ?? There are 9 FAC replays this evening and none of them are being shown on TV, yet tomorrow evening Itv are showing a replay the same time as ESPN are showing one.

Unbelievable <doh>.

Perhaps it's to do with not taking away from attendances by having televised football at the sametime, although I don't think it's something they usually take into account for midweek football. Maybe there's some silly rule about having to keep the same games televised for replays too, I'm just happy United have a day less between the West Ham game and ours.

One of Sandro's mates has said on Twitter that he's undergoing knee surgery today. <doh> Great. Just what we needed.

Keane will be training with us for two weeks starting tomorrow.

Good to have him back, I guess, maybe he'll give Gallas some ideas about a summer move. I don't see why these players can't just get preseason training at their own clubs though.

I wonder if we have some kind of arrangement with LA Galaxy for this, given we had Beckham training at Spurs Lodge a couple of years back.

Maybe. I think it's mainly down to Harry being desperate to sign Beckham and in Keane's case, despite him blotting his copybook with Harry over the 'golfing holiday', Levy still loves him.

I did drop the hint earlier.

I thought that you just meant he might face a week or two on the sidelines, SC. Maybe I'm just jumping to a worst case scenario because of our past with injuries, but that doesn't sound good.

I wonder if we'll jump back in for one of our defensive midfield targets, if it is a long term one? Some of them seem to have either dropped massively in price or become more available.
M'Vila, Diame?

why cant we just start Parker? why do we have to get some one in at the first sight of an injury? and let the fringe player sit on bench till order is restored?

We could and we probably will, Dona. I just thought that Levy might be tempted to sign players who he might think are going cheaply, if he has an excuse to do so.

M'Vila's price in the summer: £20m
M'Vila's price in January: £8m

Can see why that would appeal to Levy - it's a £12m saving on a player AVB identified as a target (plus his resale value will be double or treble what we paid), plus we get one over Arsenal who were also in for him last summer.

Marseille striker Remy, 26, was due to sign for Newcastle but is set to join QPR for £8m, while Rennes midfielder M'Vila, 22, is expected to cost £7m.

Redknapp said he was delighted to be signing players he has coveted before.

"Remy has had a medical today, so that's all sorted," Redknapp said. "M'Vila, I think we're very close." [/QUOTE

Remy is a good player," he added. "Newcastle do very well in the French market as well with Graham Carr their chief scout, and he is a boy I looked at an awful lot while I was at Tottenham.

"Last year we were talking about paying £20m for him. We looked at him, we liked him and we were chasing him but didn't quite get him.

France international M'Vila is currently banned from international duty until June 2014 after he and four team-mates broke a curfew before a key game with the Under-21 side.

But Redknapp said he had no qualms about the highly sought-after player.

"He played against England a couple of years ago for France, and was fantastic," Redknapp said.

"Rennes turned down £28m from an English club for him a year ago. Spurs offered £15m for him in August. The deal looks OK.

"M'Vila's had a few off-the-field problems. If he behaves himself, and plays as we know he can, he'll do well."

"The type of money hopefully we can pull off two deals for is fantastic."

I took no notice of European football until Spurs qualified for the CL so could somebody tell me what Pep G was like as a footballer. I never saw him play.
