It appears so. I totally agree with what you're saying, I think it's quite damning of the loss of interest in the FA Cup that people just want to watch Manchester United and wouldn't care so much about what could be potentially a better tie involving less fashionable tie. It's a shame because there's still plenty of excitement and enthusiasm for the Fa Cup in the lower leagues but the broadcasters only care if they're drawn against United(or Liverpool) and they've got a part time roofer who's a fan of United that they can do a piece on.

I also think its the case that more neutrals will want to watch United in the hope of seeing them knocked out, its probably fair to say the minimum figure that would watch United would still exceed the example game you used, tv companies who are only interested in viewing figures know that, so do advertisers, and its not likely to change. Grim!

Fair point. When I was a kid I was excited to watch any FA Cup game on the TV but I guess the Beeb didn't have to bow to advertising.

I can just see Ken Wolstenholme and his Sports Specials on Saturday night.We watched everyone....then!Not today....
..and dear old Peter Dimmock and his Sportsview on Wednesday nights.....to my favourite,Brian Moore.Brian was a Gillingham fan but I suspected he was a secret Spurs fan too!

Michael Owen made a bit of a balls up on Twitter on Tuesday, apparently.
During their victory over Villa he posted this: "What a game this is. Bradford are on fire!" <doh>
Not the best choice of words.

Very true. He could've used any number of terms for WHL, but it's nice to know that he feels it's his home now.
Sandro put in a lot of work to make sure that he'd be able to adjust to England and the Premier League. Great example to others.

Not sure why Hamann decided to comment on Barton's Tweet but Barton definitely came off worse calling him everything under the sun, bringing Hamann's family, drink and gambling problems. Total prick.


Edit: And for someone who likes to quote all the literature he reads, he can't spell for ****.
 
Oh dear, you can see why Barton has been in such trouble throughout his career as he is easily wound up.
 
They are both as pathetic as one another. Why are 2 grown men in their position of "celebrity" status, having an argument on twitter?! Joey Barton is an absolute nut job and needs help. I actually feel a bit sorry for him.

Whats the score with Didi? as while Barton comes across as a complete and utter scumbag, barton makes some claims about Didi, all made up? or actually not far from the truth?
