Howard Webb wants to end his World Cup refereeing career on a high at the 2014 tournament in Brazil. What odds can you get on Man Utd lifting it?
didnt know where to put this....just a j20 for me please... http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/4592720/Joey-Barton-in-new-on-pitch-bust-up.html
I'm no fan of Barton's antics by any means, but it looks like his opponent has a hold of his leg and Barton's holding on to avoid being dumped on his arse. Hard to tell who's in the wrong without seeing film of it.
PNP, i believe if we analysed contact to that extent then there would always be one individual out of a 'football tussle' who thinks he can twat the other person. As you full well know its a contact sport so long as no malice is intended...and Barton has admitted he cant help himself.
It seems Blackburn have asked for permission to speak to Sherwood, but Spurs have refused. I guess that will change if they are determined and Sherwood is actually interested.
As much as I think it would be a shame if he left, i'd be interested to see how he fares as the main man, having heard good things about his methods.
One newspaper reported Sherwood as being on a million a year at Spurs and Blackburn were proposing to pay him double that. I was staggered to hear we might be paying him that sort of money as I doubt if the combined wages of Bond, Jordan and Allen came to that.
England takes a corner, hits Wayne Rooney on the shoulder - after he didn't even jump for the ball - so what does Clive Tyldsley say on commentary. Was it... i.) England are fortunate to go ahead ii.) Wayne Rooney was lucky there iii.) Clinical finish from Wayne Rooney That's right, it was the third option...

At 8am tomorrow, the Big Match Revisited on ITV4 is Spurs v Man Utd in the FA Cup. Don't know which year, probably the first game in Jan 1980. Good, but a better one followed. A good time to remember Elastic Aleksic in goal if that is the game they show.
I just got stopped by police in regards to the spate of burglaries in my neighbourhood. A blatant case of profiling, given my contributions of the Mouser Watch thread...
just looked at the 21 most rediculous soccer dives gifs.Made me laugh, all the team's other fans call Bale a diver, there are none by him in it but they have Andy carroll,Torres, and Saurez amongst others.
Cheers for the heads up SD, I'll set my alarm for that. It probably is the first game, which I watched at the Lane - 1-1 IIRC I'm pretty sure the epic replay was on BBC, may be wrong. I can't remember if it was live - i certainly didn't know the score and remember going absolutely crazy when we won, unbelievable stuff with Hodd in goal after Joe Jordan did a number on the sadly deceased Milija Aleksic .
Football being shown in a poor light this evening with the disgraceful scene at Hillsbrough. Shocking behaviour from the Leeds fan who slapped Kirkland.
Just as a follow up to the Sheff Weds v Leeds game, the situation worsened after the game when Warnock and his players showed appreciation to the travelling Leeds fans, one of whom had brought shame on his club. Warnock then launched into a rant against the yob which was perfectly said until he spoiled it all by saying Kirkland went down like a sack of spuds. Dave Jones, the Wednesday manager then criticised Warnock for applauding Leeds fans who had brought shame on their club and who had also sung *****-refernce songs about Jones. Another sad night for English football after what has alreadybeen a poor week.
