Just had a lovely ride out today from Barnsley over to the Peak District and the woodhead pass onto holmfirth then back around to head towards the woodhead again but this time down to Buxton. From there into chesterfield then back up the M1 home. Lovely ride and scenery but where’s the best you’ve done.

i had a lovely ride this morning but she wont let me publish the snaps

No where special. When I was living down south I done my longest ride of 52 miles around the Surrey Hills. Never done Box Hill though.

Currently turbo training to lose some weight and beat that. I'm not sure why but aiming to do 75 miles at the Durham Velo if it's on next year.

I've done quite a few bike rides for charity, including a few C2Cs from Workington, Whitehaven and Ravenglass (The Roman Way) to the finish in Sunderland (Roker), Castles & Coasts (2) from Edinburgh to Tynemouth Priory, The Reivers Route (2), The Way of The Roses from Morecambe to Bridlington, Walney to Wear (2), The Scottish C2C (new one) last year (Annan to Edinburgh) and 1 in Derbyshire . . . . I couldn't pick a best one, though :emoticon-0145-shake

Possibly the very first C2C from either Whitehaven or Workington (I can't remember) to Roker 'cos, although it was hard, it was thoroughly enjoyable and an achievement :emoticon-0105-wink:

We've enjoyed them all, raised many £1,000s for 'special needs' kids, and I wish that we could do some more :emoticon-0148-yes:

Have you got a favourite, Comfy ?

No favourites I just go out wherever it takes me, I've noticed were talking about different bikes though and I don't do exercise. Still good rides though whatever way you do them. Personally want to do do 10 day route 66 holiday sometime

That must have been a few good miles.

if i did that bike ride i need a tractor seat on the bike not a racing one, it would be like sitting on a razor blade after that distance
