Bloody superb! Never judge a big center forward on goals. He brought everything this side needs today. He bullied, held up the ball, and drew fouls. This is what we've been needing. A brick **** house in our attacking line. He's no world beater we know but it really empathises the need to invest in this sort of striker. Hat off to you Big Vic. You were bang on to today.

Best game from Jones for a long time. Disappointed me when he chose to play Watmore in when he was a mile offside, Jones had full view of the line so nee excuse for playing him in, a waste. Defensively I think he was one of our more assured defenders on the day.

True enough but it was a great move and could have /should have resulted in a goal.

Good words from Vic about Moyes after the game. Maybe the fans will understand the players are behind him now.

Moyes still has my backing. He makes questionable decisions but show me a gaffer who doesn't(For example Big Sam playing N'Doye on the wing constantly). To put all our woes on 11 games with Moyes I've felt is unfair. It's an incredibly difficult job and he didn't come in with the player knowlage Sam had already accumulated. Like all our previous managers he's suffered a poor run of results in his initiation period while he tries to get his head round this poor squad. Playing Big Vic and Defoe shows to me he learning his players capabilities and what he needs to do to start producing results.

A back to back would gift Moyes a bit of leeway to really work on the squad with out this constant pressure. Hull is a massive game for his Sunderland career imo.

Great summation as usual, hope you are feeling as chuffed as I am with this result, I am sure you are. <ok>

to be fair to Moysie, due to fitness issues, he's not been able to start Vic till now.
Let's hope we get one or two more back soon.

Relief more than anything, we haven't had much rub of the green but we didn't half ride our luck today, glad it's come round to save our arse today. But loads of positives and a pleasant evening ahead hopefully. :)
That's the reasoning I have been blarting about on here all the season. What went against us during just about all the other games turned up for us today.

The last twenty minutes were a trial though.
