I am a little concerned about some of the rumours about the big fella getting the push from the board..or resigning ect..i think this would be a grave mistake from Short .i hope this is all bollocks but if it happens what can the individual supporter do........Quinny leaving would be a disaster and i think ES knows this and therefore if he goes i can onlu assume ES is going to sell the club........is anybody in the know? is this all mag journo crap.
 
Hopefully just bollox, ES would be suicidal to force Quinn out. The fans love him and the backlash would be apocalyptic, maybe enough to put off any prospective buyers (again maybe just more bollox about ES wanting to sell, I've never read anything to indicate this is in his mind anyway.)

what aload of drivel...i think you need to get your only brain cell back from the pawn broker and start using it formore important lower brain functions...as i think you are suffering fom lack of oxygen to the brain....its the only explination for such uninformed tripe.
 
I must be the only one that think there could be something going on behind the scenes. Think about it...he (NQ) upset some fans (not me) about attendances, he pushed for Sbragia to get the job and also Bruce. I firmly believe Bruce will be gone by end of season unless he dramatically turns things around which will reflect bad on NQ. I reitterate I think NQ has done a brilliant job for us and indeed saved us from nigh on going bust. The man is a legend and always will be BUT Short wants better results for his money and won't accept the crap being served up now...
 
They say nobody is bigger than a football club but there could be a case for saying there would not be a Sunderland AFC if it wasnt for Niall, that man is a legend and he should never leave Sunderland it would be a poorer place without him.
You only need to look at what a smart move it was to bring in David Milliband who can use his links to spread the message of SAFC worldwide.
 
It certainly wouldn't surprise me if Quinny wants out...He has put his heart and soul into this club, and all he has ever asked from the fans is to give the team loud and vocal support, which I'm sorry to say has been too much to ask from many of our supporters.

And to fill the stadium, I know the current economic climate is tough but he has a point about sitting in the pubs drinking rather than watching it live. Unfortunately to be successful you have to spend and by doing so you also have to balance the books ensuring the club stays stable. IMO Quinn has done alot for Sunderland AFC but if he wanted to go then so be it and he will always be remembered for what he has done. As for Short I don't personaly believe he wants to bail but I'm sure what ever happens he will leave the club in safe hands. Just a thought but maybe thats why we seem to be doing a bit of house keeping in balancing the books and getting value for money?

Dont suppose anyone could think that Short wants some of his people on the board to HELP Quinny on promotion, marketing, finance, business. 2+2=5 I think

i was reporting on the rumours that are in the press so vaugn..so i do hope it is drivel...by the way..copying is th sincerest form of flattery......i didnt realise you could multi-task with that brain cell of yours..is it he deluxe version?or are you on a respirator?
 
Can't see it, personally. NQ has put too much in to walk away now. Him and Short have always said the goal was European footie at the SoL and that isn't too big a stretch, although this certainly hasn't been the start we wanted.
 
I'm sure Quinny said something about a 5 year plan then he'll walk when he became chairman/manager for a bit, it's been 5 years so the journos are picking up on that and speculating. I think he's a decent bloke but, he is too decent you have to have a nasty streak in you sometimes to make tough decisions or stand up to the owner. Niall is not like that and Short knows it, if Niall goes then all the best but, he will walk or retire or something like that to smooth it over with the fans (he's that sort of bloke).
I don't think Short is overly impressed at our start to the season (join the club mate) and could be looking to liven it up a bit, not sure bringing in Americans who probably know jack about soccerball will improve us though.

If Brucie does go this is the wrong time to get rid of him

we are 3games into the season and Brucie needs time to gel his squad. He should have until Christmas at the earliest to show what he can do if it aint working then bring someone in and let them bring in a couple of there own players in the Jan transfer window
