No, he's just simply joining the team a bit late to get properly integrated. Expect him to come off the bench.

Shane Long is a handy player don't get me wrong, but £7m and £50k p/w handy? Not even close.

As above, happy to sign Long, but not happy to overpay by double, we've been royally ripped off by the baggies and the man himself for that outlay. Silly money.

£3.5m and £25k p/w is what he's worth and I'd have been very happy with that.

The thing is, he is worth more than £3.5m to West Brom and Long knows he is worth more than £25k to us. So why would he and West Brom settle for less?

It's scary, especially given the wobbly nature of our chairman. I think this season is slightly different, if we got relegated we wouldn't be back up for a long time. Throwing everything at it methinks.

Cardiff have to pay the same type of wages now, in order to attract players that`s the way it is or we don`t sign anyone. Both clubs are making every effort with good reason, this is the premier league.

The time to cry is if we end up in division one not when we are in the top league in the world, it is about playing Man City away this Saturday on the pitch playing football not about fashion or nicknames to me.

I am glad you made it with us and sorry Watford missed out and I hope we can both stay here now.

Exactly right, everyone is too paranoid about the what ifs, just enjoy the moment, get excited. If we get relegated we deal with that, but that's looking very unlikely now. You could sit there at a club like Man City and mope about every signing 'in the off chance we get relegated' but where's the fun in that?

Besides, so many on here have made the point they don't care what division we're in, so who cares?

Sorry, but is there actually any proof that his contract will be around 50k?

    Just wondering.

Already been confirmed that I was right that the actual bid was 5.5m rising to 7.5 with a whole bunch of activation clauses.

Not sure on the wage, just making the point that the fee as it stands is only 5.5m, which isn't ridiculous by any means.

Nobody knows what the fee is, it's undisclosed, people are just guessing.
