Manager Sam Allardyce has left Leeds United after his four-game tenure ended in relegation from the Premier League.

The 68-year-old lost three and drew one of his matches in charge, having succeeded Javi Gracia on 3 May.

Leeds will return to the Championship after a three-season stay in the top flight.

"It has been an honour to manage Leeds United, a great club with an incredible fan base, who deserve to be in the Premier League," said Allardyce.

"At this stage in my career I am not sure taking on this challenge, which is potentially a long-term project, is something I could commit to, but I wish the club every success for the future and hope the club returns to the Premier League, where they belong."

Yeah, saw that.
Seems really odd especially given that they are looking to sell their majority shareholding to the minority holder (49ers).
Does that mean they aren't really looking to offload?

They might do, but they own the ground though a completely different set up / company ( from what I'm told ) and have no intention of selling the ground etc

Shame it didn’t work out for fatty, saw his interview on SSN when he was appointed.
100% guaranteed to keep L***s up, said he was the best manager ever born and non will ever better him.
Also said he was better than pep& cuckoo. In fact he knows more about football than anyone in the universe **

Particularly laughable when it comes to Leeds since they've spent as much time in League 1 as they have in the PL over the last couple of decades.
