It's actually the oldest pub in Beverley, it's been there about five hundred years and it's not near Monks Walk, the level crossing is at the opposite end of the Minster (between the Minster and Flemingate).
OLM beat me to it. Definitely not new. Long time since I was in there.

When City were at home back to Star of the West as it did indeed open at 5-30, then waited in there for the Green Mail seller to arrive.

A mate of mine worked at the mail, usually finished about 6.30 pm Saturday, so I used to get the train from Boothferry Park after a game and sit in Star of the West until he finished.
